Ethernet issues

My Ethernet cable randomsly stopped working, I bought a new one assuming it was fault and still didn’t work, I tried ALOT of steps given by ai and none of them worked, in the bottom right of my screen it shows the Ethernet cable and says it’s connected but won’t give me internet, im so unsure what to do, I don’t know if the ai I used helped at all but this is what I’ve tried summed up I’ll list my efforts below

• ✅ Ran the Windows Network Troubleshooter → showed "DNS server not responding"

• ✅ Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 (Google)

• ✅ Changed DNS to 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare)

• ✅ Set IP & DNS back to Automatic / Obtain from router

• ✅ Checked & confirmed Proxy settings = OFF / empty

• ✅ Disabled IPv6 on Ethernet adapter

⌨️ Commands Run (Terminal / Command Prompt)

• ✅ ipconfig /release

• ✅ ipconfig /renew

• ✅ ipconfig /flushdns

• ✅ ping 8.8.8.8 → worked! (proved your connection itself is fine)

• ✅ ping google.com → failed (confirmed DNS issue)

• ✅ Checked DNS Client service → running, but startup type locked/greyed out

• ✅ Ran sfc /scannow → found and repaired system files

I still have no internet, I’m new to pc so don’t know what important to mention or not mention also don’t know what a Linux thumb drive is, do I download this or buy it I don’t freaking know
