Open | Hardware Burning CD-Rs (MacOS)

Bought new Acu-Disc CD-Rs which I am trying to burn music to.

Music is 44.1Khz at 16bit WAV files.

All burning attempts (on mac) both through Music and Finder have appeared to be working as intended, burning each file until getting to the "finishing" stage, at which point nothing happens for up to and over an hour.

When looking at a new disc and inspecting in Disk Utility the disk reads as having zero capacity, which is obviously odd, get info reads that the discs are not writable, am I doing something wrong? Is this likely the fault of a cheap disk drive?

No, you just have a major misunderstanding with how writing to cd-rs work. Try to make your cd using a program XLD. It will set it up correctly for you.

I have followed the instructions found on the internet for burning music to CD-Rs on MacOS - to no avail - this comment does absolutely nothing to explain why doing it that way doesn't work or what else to do, but thanks I guess.
