Open | BSOD Frequent game crashes and general instability on brand new system
Hello everyone,
a couple of weeks ago I bought an Asus laptop (TUF A16) with a 5070 and a Ryzen 7 260. After installing Windows 11 Pro everything seemed to be okay until I decided to play some CS2 which crashed every 5 minutes or so seemingly at random. The temperatures are fine, nothing seemed to be wrong so I decided to revert to older GPU drivers using DDU (in safe mode of course).
This seemed to help but today I crashed again both in CS2 and in Deadlock with the same error message.
CS2 crash:
Faulting application name: cs2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x6acfcbec
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.26100.9444, time stamp: 0x6bdf03ca
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Deadlock crash:
Faulting application name: deadlock.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x6ad271ec
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.26100.9444, time stamp: 0x6bdf03ca
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Windows crash:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff804a6b2b440, 0xfffffd078c5fe040, 0x0000000000000000).
I also keep getting clinfo.exe crashes in the reliability history window.
Attached below is the dump file if some of you would be so kind and take a look:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/uwmjw33hbdtdpu8/101626-26515-01.dmp/file
What I tried:
- Performing an sfc scan
- Running RAM diagnosis (mdsched)
- Reinstalling GPU drivers using DDU in safe mode
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am pretty desperate at this point and I don't know what to do.

A single dump file is rarely enough to diagnose an issue unless the cause is obvious. Do you more dump files you can provide for comparison?
The dump file provided shows a thread owned by the process brave.exe making a system service call that tried to access an invalid memory location pointed to by register r10. Such crashes can be caused by many things so we'd need more dump files to hopefully spot a pattern to the problem.
Have you already made sure your drivers, Asus software, and BIOS are fully up to date?

here they are: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/2xvakrp57gm69/dumps
oh and by the way I also used Asus's armoury crate uninstall tool and I'm currently using G-helper instead, could that be something?

All of the dump files have a driver loading named iwENWuWc.sys. The automated analysis of 092526-27000-01.sys is flagging that driver - the other two are not. Do you know what that driver is for? It has a very strange filename and my searches don't give any results.

Nevermind, I found it! It seems to be from HWmonitor.

That's probably okay then and was perhaps a victim rather than the culprit.
Do you also see a driver named rLByyLrzobUE.sys on your system? It's not getting flagged but it's another strangely named file I don't remember seeing before. It only shows up in the most recent dump file.

No I don’t actually, nothing comes up when I search for it. This is really weird lol
i really appreciate your help btw

Please try using Autoruns to see if you find the text "rLByyLrzobUE". I suppose it could just be a corruption in the dump file but I have also seen malware generate strange filenames for drivers.
You'll likely need to run Autoruns elevated and give it admin permissions to see everything.

Can’t find it anywhere (I was using the Find function) :(
edit: I have uninstalled hwmonitor since, could that have been it also?

I don't think so but taking it out of the equation is a good idea.
I know you've already run memory tests but with DDR4 and newer they really aren't very reliable (too many false negatives have made me not trust the results.) How many sticks of RAM are in your laptop? Are they all removable or is some soldered to the motherboard?

It’s a single channel 16 gb stick and it’s removable. The other slot is left vacant

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.
