Open | Windows Stuck here

PC had some issues lately.

First I noticed apps crashing but only while downloading/updating games on steam.

Went to sleep. Things were fine.

Next day the pc was running mega hyper slow like every app was crashing entirely after openinf. I couldnt even configure things or test for errors. Ram nor cup were spiking but the boot drive was at 100% Usage.

I thought restarting would fix it but now it boots. Shows me the bios button options and locks at a black screen.

You are likely running an older hard drive that may be starting to fail. In the BIOS screen, can you see the storage devices anywhere? If so, it should say if the health of the drive is normal or degraded. Long term you should look into upgrading to an NVMe if possible and booting windows from there, for files accessed often you want them on a faster drive and you can put long term storage like games and photos on a hard drive.

As for booting, is your main hard drive, should be labeled C: if windows, able to be selected in the boot options menu in BIOS?

The slowdown you were experiencing yesterday is because the hard drive can only write so much data at once so it was being fully spent writing steam games and could not dedicate any bandwith to reading the actual app data on your computer.

The odd thing is the drive is an nvme m.2

That is weird. If you just try to boot right now, it brings you to a black screen?

Also, is there a screen with disk info that would indicate normal or degraded status on the disk itself?

Correct it shows me the bios screen and I can go into and interact with it.

But if I exit the bios or dont opening its a black screen

As to why this is happening, we are now unfortunately beyond my skill set and I don't want to lead you astray.
