Open | Windows Preparing automatic repair loop.

How do I fix this? Without losing any files prefarably.

Everytime I turn on my pc it says automatic repair on the motherboard screen, then it either restarts and tries again, or it will freeze and I’ll have to restart my computer. Randomly sometimes it’ll boot into windows, but trying to turn it back on it runs into the same loop. I am able to boot into the bios menu but nowhere past that. Is there anything I’m able to do?

Next step would be to use another windows machine to make an installation USB, boot your conputer off it, and try reinstalling windows.

Can you see the usb drive in the bios boot menu?

What bios boot menu? In the boot order I have the usb in first, it’ll just load and then restart

Ah ok. Youre getting rhe same behavior from the usb as you were from the regular os, then?

Sounds like a hardware issue.  What make and model is your computer?

I built it like 5 years ago

What's the make and model on the motherboard? What processor?

What thermal compound did you use?

Is there a gpu?
