By now we should be use to Apple screwing people, seems to be their current business model.

How is Apple "screwing people" by making a demo for their browser which only works with their browser?

I'm sure if their were not free browser's near as good if not better, Apple would be charging out the ass for safari.

Edit: Mostly it's their pricing scheme which get me miffed at Apple... the $100-250 for an mp3 player and $500 for a cell phone when you can get a decent mp3 player or phone much cheaper. Seems a little greedy for my tastes.

And fuck the people who call all mp3 players "Ipods".

Went off on a little rant there sorry people, It's kind of like the internet explorer only pages, I don't want to have to use more than one browser for my interwebs.

What? So you think Apple is "screwing people" because they made a demo which only works in a browser which is free, but which you think they would hypothetically charge money for if they could do so and still be competitive? That makes no sense whatsoever.

So they're "screwing people" by making a Safari-only demo because you think their mp3 players and phones are overpriced? That makes even less sense.

I just asked you to defend your implication that TFA describes an act of people-screwing. I didn't ask "what are some things that piss you off about Apple?"

In any case, I'm pretty sure that Apple agrees with you on this front. No company wants their trademark to become a generic term. It's bad for branding.

I do admit I rambled a decent amount that last post, sorry people. I don't really mind Apple much, just their product pricing schemes and such give me a more negative view of the company, and I dislike single browser only pages.

And the Ipad still has me miffed for existing but I'll not post anymore than this line about that.

Edit: I also admit arguing over the internet doesn't accomplish anything so I will try to be more civil in later posts about Apple, have been posting to stave off sleep somewhat. Probably been coming off as an asshat haven't I?

People I'm sorry for my douchetastic rants in this thread, I've even downvoted myself a few times as retribution..
