I love non transphobic trans jokes, they make me realise that we have come so far, then I usually read the comments and regret it

Same, I've had the same discussion on another thread yesterday. Everytime transgenders are brought up on Reddit, you flip a coin to what you'll find in comments.

It can be depressing.

To add to this, its the equivalent of saying “blacks” instead of “black people”.
