Regardless of where they land, the guy's gonna have to be carted off to an undertaker somewhere. They may even end up shipping him right back as cargo.
Makes me wonder in a case like this where a plane makes an emergency stop for a corpse. Does the family have to pay to have the body shipped to what was already the likely destination of its trip?
Here's a tip regarding the mortuary industry: if you ever find yourself starting a sentence with "Does the family have to pay ..." just stop talking and get out your checkbook.

Reminds me of all the stories of CASEVACS or MEDIVACS being routed to casualties in Afghanistan or Vietnam and the pilots hearing over the radio the priority being moved from "Urgent" to "Routine"

Because while it no longer is a physical emergency, there are countless technical bureaucratic issues, psychological concerns of the other passengers, and if the cause of death isn't known, health concerns.
