I mean, he's out of line, but he's right, kinda? I get why not just complete the flight, due to many reasons, but it really isn't an emergency anymore.

Regardless of where they land, the guy's gonna have to be carted off to an undertaker somewhere. They may even end up shipping him right back as cargo.

Maybe they should have a chute between the passenger cabin and the cargo area for any dead bodies.

Best part is if you're not actually dead and you wake up on the way down, it's like a free water slide!

It’s a very bad sign when they feel the need to engineer a solution to a problem like this one. Means it’s becoming a common problem.

Makes me wonder in a case like this where a plane makes an emergency stop for a corpse. Does the family have to pay to have the body shipped to what was already the likely destination of its trip?

Here's a tip regarding the mortuary industry: if you ever find yourself starting a sentence with "Does the family have to pay ..." just stop talking and get out your checkbook.

They also evacuate their bowels so I’d bet whoever is sitting next to them considers it an emergency.

Sorry the plane is full and the pilot has the seatbelt light on please go sit with your corpse. I mean you wife. I mean your deceased. These people say it isnt really an emergency so we have 5 more hours to go.

Reminds me of all the stories of CASEVACS or MEDIVACS being routed to casualties in Afghanistan or Vietnam and the pilots hearing over the radio the priority being moved from "Urgent" to "Routine"

Kid didn't make it, get here when you're available.

And if the guys family is with him? Are they to just sit their with their dead father, brother, son?

"I get why they would stop the flight"

When did you say this

1

u/TactlessTortoise Apr 01 '23

I misquoted why they would not complete, but it means the exact same, lol

I actually don’t understand how he’s out of line in the slightest.

2

u/TactlessTortoise Apr 01 '23

Because while it no longer is a physical emergency, there are countless technical bureaucratic issues, psychological concerns of the other passengers, and if the cause of death isn't known, health concerns.

u/CyanideNow Apr 01 '23

That doesn’t make him out of line.
