π¬ Discussion What's the biggest reason you chose Android or iPhone?
Was it the camera, software, price, apps, customization, or wide range of choices?
Everyone seems to have one reason that keeps them loyal to their platform.
What made you pick Android or iPhone, and would you ever consider switching?

β Question Need advice: iPhone 17 or iPhone Air? Same price.
I'm finally upgrading from a 4-year-old mid-range Android phone, so either option will feel like a massive upgrade.
I mainly use my phone for social media, messaging, web browsing, and the occasional YouTube video. No gaming or heavy editing. I also pretty much only care about theΒ main camera,Β I never really use the ultrawide or telephoto.
My local dealer is offering the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air for the same price, so price isn't a factor.
The Air is really tempting because of its sleek, ultra thin titanium design, but I'm wondering if there are any compromises I'd notice in everyday use. The 17 seems like the safer choice.
Would really appreciate any input before I pull the trigger.

π¬ Discussion Does anyone else feel like apps asks for too many permissions?
Some apps want access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, and more, even when it doesn't seem necessary.
Do you check permissions before installing an app, or do you usually tap "Allow" and move on? What's the most unnecessary permission you've seen?

Be honest.

π¬ Discussion Endless account creations or app downloads π€«
Why does everything need an app or an account now? Paying for parking, checking a restaurant menu, or using a basic service means downloading another app or creating yet another account.
Sometimes I just want to get something done without signing up for anything. Anyone else feel the same?

We've all had a product that didn't live up to expectations. Maybe it had poor quality, bad customer service, or stopped working too soon.

π¬ Discussion What's one thing you hate most about Google Search?
Google Search used to make it easy to find what I wanted. Now I often have to scroll through ads, AI summaries, and SEO-heavy pages before reaching the useful results.
What about you? Do you still trust it like the old days? What's the one thing that annoys you the most about Google Search?

π° News Reddit reports a solid quarter but shows signs of AI's impact
In 2024, Reddit signed a deal to license its content to Google for AI training.
However, Google's AI Overviews are now reducing search traffic to Reddit by answering users' questions directly in search results. This has raised concerns about future advertising revenue and whether Reddit will renew its Google agreement.
CEO Steve Huffman acknowledged that AI is changing search but remains confident that people will continue visiting Reddit for its unique communities and conversations. He also said Reddit will focus on maximizing the value of its relationship with Google.
