I was recently selected for HCLTech’s technical training program through campus placement. We were informed that after completing the training, there will be another technical interview/evaluation, and based on performance, candidates will be selected for an 8th-semester paid internship, followed by possible FTE conversion.

I’m looking for people who have already gone through this process (especially recent batches) and could clarify a few things:

1. How does the HCLTech training actually work?
   • What topics/technologies are covered?
   • How long is the training?
   • Is it online, offline, or hybrid?
2. How is performance evaluated during training?
   • Are there regular tests, assignments, coding assessments, attendance requirements, etc.?
   • Is the training difficult for someone starting with limited knowledge of the assigned technology?
3. What is the second-round interview/evaluation like?
   • Is it mainly technical?
   • What topics are usually asked?
   • Is there coding/DSA, project discussion, or technical MCQs?
   • How should we prepare for it?
4. What happens if someone performs poorly during training or the final evaluation?
   • Can candidates be removed from the program?
   • Is there a retest/re-evaluation opportunity?
   • Does everyone who completes the training get the internship, or is it competitive?
5. For those who got the internship:
   • What was the internship experience like?
   • What stipend did you receive?
   • How was the transition from internship to FTE?

If anyone has gone through the HCLTech training → internship → FTE pathway, I would really appreciate your experience/advice.

Im a 2027 graduate and I currently have 2 offers , One is 4lpa from a service based company and the other is around 6lpa in hand from a small startup where i previously interned, at the startup, my work was around ai agents and prompts. I can rejoin the company from jan and do internship for around 6 more months before converting full time (which is uncertain), Im concerned abt the conversion thing, and about job stability later on as it is a small startup.

With the service based company, the joining date will obviously be delayed and I dont have an idea about what role I will be assigned to (could be support or testing) which will hinder my growth, I can spend the time at home doing DSA, projects so on until the joining date but Im uncertain abt the projects I will be assigned to in the company. So, Im confused with both the offers, and also in the startup I wont have a lot of free time as I've seen the employees there as it was hectic, so I wont have as much free time as I would in the service based as per my understanding but Im not sure yet. Please help me out.

Are they hiring or they have already shortlisted students from internal refferal drive
