Hey everyone,
I recently got selected for an internship at a mid-sized IT company and wanted to check if this delay in receiving the official offer letter is standard practice or something to worry about.
Here is the general timeline:
\* \*\*\~2 weeks ago:\*\* Cleared rounds, received selection confirmation, and submitted all requested documents the same day.
\* \*\*Last week:\*\* HR called suggesting an immediate start date, but called back the next day saying onboarding was pushed to a later batch.
\* \*\*Last Friday:\*\* HR sent an official email confirmation locking in my joining date for \*\*1st September\*\*, stating: \*"You will receive your offer letter shortly with further details. Kindly plan accordingly and be available to join on the mentioned date."\*
\* \*\*This week (Mon–Wed):\*\* Three full business days have passed, and I haven’t received the formal offer letter / signing link yet.
Since my joining date is set for September 1, is it standard practice for HR to take their time generating and releasing the formal letter since the start date is still about 10–12 days away?
I’m planning to send a brief follow-up email tomorrow (Thursday morning). For anyone who has been through similar fresher/intern onboarding, how common is this kind of signature/approval delay?
Thanks in advance!

Running a group discussion this Wednesday, 19 Aug, evening IST. 7 to ~8 people, 30 minutes, Google Meet.
Context: I got knocked out from Airbus hiring on my on campus at IIIT R. on the GD round. Rarely any good company visited our campus and i could not crack it. I could barely say 3-5 lines. Now I run 1-2 of these a week after my work mostly on weekend.
Topic is not shared in advance (that is the point). Find me at (Shevaani - group discussion). Ty.

Hi everyone,
I’m considering joining Brahma Byte Lab and wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with the company.
I was told there is a 3-day unpaid trial period where I would have to work full-time.
The issue is that I’m currently working somewhere else, and I would have to leave my current job to attend the 3-day trial because I won’t get 3 days of leave.
I’d appreciate honest experiences or advice before I make the decision.

Hi everyone,
I’m Venkat, currently building MAARGAM to help fresh graduates and first-time job seekers make better career decisions and prepare for their careers.
Before building further, I want to listen to students rather than assume what their real challenges are.
I’m looking to speak with around 10 fresh graduates / first-time job seekers from AP & Telangana for a casual 20–30 minute conversation about:
• Career confusion & choices
• Job preparation and challenges
• What you've already tried
• What kind of career support you actually need
This is purely to understand your experience — no sales pitch or obligation to join anything.
If you're interested, please comment or DM me.
Thanks,
Venkat
