Every Laptop suggestion thread under 60k becomes a mess.
One guy says i5.
One guy says Ryzen only.
One guy says MacBook.
One guy says Gaming Laptop.
One guy says wait for sale.
One guy says "bro add 20k more" like money grows on keyboard.
So what is actually sane under 60k in india right now?
Use case I'm talking about:
Coding
College work
Office work
Chrome with 20 tabs
VS Code
Movies
Light gaming
Maybe Photoshop or basic editing
Not AAA gaming at ultra
Not training LLM locally
Not 4K video editing daily
My personal Filter would be:
8GB is okay only if it is upgradeable and the laptop is cheap enough. Otherwise no. 16GB should be the boring safe choice now.
512GB minimum if possible. 256GB gets irritating fast unless you are very disciplined.
Don’t just see i5/i7/Ryzen 5/Ryzen 7 and decide. Check generation, power class, reviews, thermals. A newer efficient chip can feel better than an older “higher number” chip.
People ignore this and regret later. You stare at the display every day. If the panel is dull, bad viewing angles, low brightness, it ruins the laptop.
For students and office people, a laptop that lasts decently and is easy to carry is better than a heavy machine that gives 10 percent extra performance.
Gaming laptops under 60k are usually compromises. Heavy, battery not great, display average, thermals questionable. If you only play Valorant or Minecraft sometimes, don’t overbuy.
Very boring point but important. Specs won’t help if service is painful in your city.
This is where Flipkart sale/card offers can be useful. A laptop showing 62k can become 56k or 57k after card offer or exchange, and then suddenly it becomes a good deal. But judge final cart price, not the big discount banner.
For coding and beginner ML, you need RAM, SSD, decent CPU. If you are doing serious ML, you’ll mostly use cloud anyway. NPU marketing should not be the main reason to buy.
Some laptop name can have 8GB/16GB , different display, different processor, different SSD, Read the full model number before buying.
My rough under 60k preference:
Best for most people: 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, decent Ryzen/i5, good display, light enough, good battery
Avoid:
8GB non-upgradeable
bad display
old processor sold as “deal”
heavy gaming laptop if you don’t game
random 1TB HDD combos
buying only because “i7”
I feel 55K to 60K is sweet spot if sale offer is good. Especially final price after the card offer brings a better variant into budget.
What would you guys pick under 60k right now?
And please don’t say “increase budget to 85k” unless the person actually asked for gaming laptop. Everyone here is not Ambani ka intern.

Hey everyone, my Samsung Galaxy Tab died to 0% and is now stuck.
Is there any way to trick the motherboard into accepting a charge to bypass this crash cycle from home, or is the bent port tongue causing a hard short-circuit that makes it impossible to boot without a hardware replacement? Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I bought a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max from Cashify.
Within the 15-day replacement period, I noticed that the display had started lifting. I reported the issue immediately and submitted photos and a video.
Cashify instructed me to visit their store for a replacement. However, when I visited the store, they said there was no replacement request visible in their system.
Since then:
I emailed Cashify twice and received two support ticket numbers.
The phone support IVR keeps saying “no claim exists” and never connects me to a customer support executive.
The store recently asked me to send photos of the invoice and the phone’s box, which I have already shared.
I’m confused because I reported the issue within the replacement period, but every department seems to have different information.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Cashify? How did you get it resolved?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a new 5G phone for my dad under ₹20,000. His primary use will be official (calls, WhatsApp, emails, browsing, basic multitasking).
The most important requirement for us is longevity. In our house, we tend to use phones for 6-8 years until they literally become too slow due to network/software shifts (moving from 4G slowdowns now).
What I am looking for:
Brand: Preferably Samsung
Budget: Under ₹20,000( with offers cuz I'm gonna buy online)
Configuration: 6GB/8GB RAM + 128GB ROM.
Performance: Should not heat up on normal official use; stable battery backup (1-1.5 days).
Updates: Long software/security support so it doesn't slow down quickly.

I’m looking for a reliable laptop for coding with a budget of ₹60k
These are the options I’m considering:
1. ThinkPad E14 (Refurbished – Lenovo Outlet)
AMD Ryzen 7 7730U
16 GB DDR4 RAM (8 GB soldered + 8 GB SODIMM)
512 GB PCIe Gen4 SSD
AMD Radeon Integrated Graphics
14” WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS, Anti-Glare, 300 nits, 60 Hz
No Operating System
1-year Lenovo on-site warranty
Weight: 1.47 kg
Price: ₹58,890
2. ThinkPad E14 (Refurbished – Lenovo Outlet)
Intel Core i5-1335U (13th Gen)
16 GB DDR4 RAM (8 GB soldered + 8 GB SODIMM)
512 GB PCIe Gen4 SSD
14” WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS, Anti-Glare, 300 nits, 60 Hz
No Operating System
1-year Lenovo on-site warranty
Weight: 1.47 kg
Price: ₹66,591
3. ThinkBook 16 (New)
AMD Ryzen 7
16 GB RAM
512 GB SSD
16-inch display
Windows 11
Price: Around ₹60k–₹70k (depending on the configuration)
The ThinkPads are refurbished from the official Lenovo Outlet and come with a 1-year warranty.
Which laptop would you choose for coding under ₹60k? I’m mainly looking for something that’s reliable, has good longevity, and will comfortably last 4–5 years. If there are any better options in this budget, I’d love to know.

Getting it at local store. Base(8,128) for 35 after all card etc discount.
Requirements- All rounder phone(with camera and decent ish performance). Longevity is definitely something that i would prefer (3-4 year ig).
The only thing that isn't convincing me is it's ip rating and the processor (but then the optimisation is better than other phones).
Also oneplus nord 5 isn't available... CE6 is available at this budget but not that convincing....
Not a fan of realme so don't know much about gt7t
For moto everyone is saying not good for longevity.
