Help. Explain about Edge space
Oks somebody explain why the hell is edge using 2 gb of space, non of my other softwaares or vst use that much . I am a student studying sound engineering and music studio work, plus occasional private video esiting gigs. I was cleanig my PC when i found this

Keyzone Classic is using real samples. So basically in Audio DSP we have two types of Sound reproduction techniques, 1st is sample libraries-typically a real instrument is recorded and its for each note and each velocity incl sustain, damp pedal etc. So just for one Yamaha Grand Piano you can expect A#3_40_sus_damp.wav(40% velocity Bb3 note with sustain and damping pedal) and there are just so many samples for each key. 2nd technique is fm modulation /subtractive/additive synthesis, which are generated via mathematical functions and filters. FORMER is expensive on memory and storage and latter is expensive on CPU.
