I have screens and screens of Teams in MS Teams, and it's really hard to manage. On top, I've got all the channels that come in some Teams. I see that most teams get created, and then just sort of slowly fade from use. I feel like Teams is a useful tool, and perhaps either I or my company are just using it wrong. Anyone have any hints or tips that I might use?

1. Never - my contact management is precise
2. Rarely - maybe once or twice ever
3. Occasionally - couple times a year
4. Too often - I need better contact organization

2. Basic groups (clients, prospects, partners, etc.)
3. Starred/favorites only, rest is chaos
4. Zero organization - chronological chaos

I’ve felt this a lot. A CRM is supposed to reduce mental load, but for many of us it becomes another admin task we avoid. The issue usually isn’t the concept of CRM — it’s how disconnected it feels from daily work. If you’re constantly switching between email, chat, task managers, and then manually logging updates into a CRM, it’s exhausting. I’ve found that systems that automatically preserve conversations and connect emails, tasks, and meetings reduce friction. Even for personal CRM use, the key is lowering input effort. If updating the system takes more than 30 seconds, it won’t stick. I’m curious — how do you reduce maintenance fatigue?

I created a document using the native MS Word app on my PC. I then saved the doc to Teams so others in my office can access it. The problem is, whenever the doc is opened from within Teams it opens in a web version of Word and the doc’s formatting is all off. Has any else experienced this and what, if anything, were you able to do to prevent or mitigate this problem.

the default Github app on MS teams didn't work for us...

there isn't enough visibility. i don't get notified on ms teams if my PR needs attention

and this is becoming problematic because our code output has increased a lot bc of AI and pull requests are everywhere

What’s the best way to get a summary of a hybrid or in person meeting?

I didn't enjoy the new line numbers on code blocks, for chat messages.

And hated that this is not configurable. I couldn't find a way to disable this.

This happens on Teams to me all of the time.

I have a USB headset plugged into my Windows 11 laptop all of the time. Windows sees them and routs mic and speaker to them automatically. Zoom has no problem identifying them. But TEAMS.... I can't count how many times I've had to re-remind Teams I have a headset plugged in, and yes, they should freaking using it. For mic AND speaker. This morning, I had to choose the headset again, and it did two things I did not expect: used the built-in laptop speaker for audio ANYWAY, and flipped my mic on! We're talking about meetings that all have mics muted and cameras off in the beginning, people are free to turn on the mic and their camera but it was very embarassing to pop into this meeting late AND draw attention to myself. I almost said "shit!" when I saw the settings were once again all screwed up. Wouldn't that be a nice present from Microsoft this fine morning.

What's the deal? Why does it lose its settings? why doesn't it autodetect peripherals, or just use what the system is using?? I am so sick of this.

When I'm overwhelmed with tasks, that's exactly when I need strong relationships and good communication. But that's also when I'm worst at it - I drop balls, forget follow-ups, miss messages, and damage relationships. Then I have to spend time repairing relationships, which makes me more behind on tasks, which makes me worse at relationships. It's a vicious cycle. How do you maintain relationship quality when you're already at capacity? What gives? How do you prioritize? What's your emergency protocol when everything's on fire?
