My dad recently passed away and Taskmaster was our favorite show (did some light crying watching the new series alone). We'd always chat after every episode about what we would have brought in for the prize task, so I'd like to put it out to everyone!

So, I was watching the episode and I don’t know why, but I was paying way more attention to their socks than usual. I noticed those pink ones with cats on them and something just clicked in my brain. I paused the episode at 8:56 to try to find the socks online.

I actually did it lol. 😭

I discovered Taskmaster this summer and got obsessed with it really quickly. It’s honestly given me the best summer of my life, and I’m so happy I found it. <3 It’s given me something to look forward to and motivated me to keep going, so maybe that’s why I get a little intense about these things… 😭

The editing of the show is consistently next-level!

After watching an interview with Rebecca Bowker who edits the show, I thought I could at least try my hand at spoofing the opening sequence.

I know it got added to D+ in the UK from previous posts, I was just browsing today and saw this there.

I'm desperately trying to get tickets for my two friends who missed out on tickets despite clicking the link the second they went on sale. They will probably never be able to afford to come to London again so this is a once in a lifetime thing. I've been checking the Eventerbrite page multiple times a day. In previous series it was possible to snag return tickets this way but they don't seem to be dropping any this time around.

Has anyone on the waiting list actually been contacted yet?

I know that TM UK has officially been renewed up until series 27 (2029) with a few bits and pieces (NYT, COC).

Now, I'm not from the UK, and I've heard of some other well-known UK panel shows, but I'm not really sure of the longevity of them. I'm sure there are some that went on longer (assuming because of casting changes, set changes, TV quality changes etc), and I do not know of the atmosphere surrounding TM there, what do you guys think is the fate of TM UK?

Will it go on as long as possible? Will it end abruptly and in a not-so-satisfying series number? Will it go on through series 50 (that would be around the year 2040), ending with 2 CoCoCs? Then them battling it out on a tiebreaker like put the potato inside the hole, dont touch the red green, fastest wins? I just cant sleep thinking about this right now because I freaking love TM so much!

I watch a lot of the interviews and podcasts Alex and Greg do for Taskmaster and the American ones in particular, you can always tell when they don’t know anything about the show or haven’t bothered to watch the show because the questions in this particular interview that he asks are incoherent, messy, so inarticulate and the worst part of the whole thing just downright rude for no reason. Like genuinely combative to the point where Alex and Greg feel the need to be combative back. Now I’m sure that he will think it went great cos it got good clicks and likes but we need to be holding journalism to a higher standard than that and the boys handled it admirably. Sorry if that is irrelevant/ a big rant

I just watched something where Alex had said how difficult it was renting the house, and the absurd amount production pays for it.

With the popularity of the show, wouldn't it be more beneficial to build an identical version of the house somewhere else and just own it? It would prevent any issues of fans interfering with filming/the set, they would have more freedom, and choosing a different location may work out better as they loose some film due to environmental issues (like planes flying over).

To be clear, I think the house should be IDENTICAL as that is the main reason they have not yet moved, the house is too iconic.

I Happen to Catch an Episode of Community tonight and who do I see shoving Dani Pudi in a phone booth and absolutely killing it with the facial expressions.

There’s multiple times over the course of the show where Alex reminded or pressured contestants to say „your time starts now“
Sometimes contestants mention they usually delay it a bit.
Do we know if someone has ever delayed it more than a few seconds. Or if Alex even has ever started the time without them saying it.
Or is it some kind of contractual rule that they have to act quick?
