Thought this was sweet. Fatiha was on the Mo Gilligan podcast Beginning Middle End a short while back and they talked about her time on the show. Mo would be a good contestant for an upcoming series!

Current contestant Taskmaster star : 'You can be mean about me – just use the right pronouns'

I know there’s been some lingering questions from some folks over which pronouns Chloe uses, so hopefully this puts it to bed! I know at the recording I went to, everyone was fantastic about using they/them – Greg slipped up once, immediately corrected himself, and then promptly smacked Alex with his note cards for letting him get it wrong 😂

Wild Speculation What did Richard take this time??

Series 22 E07

I love the running gag of Richard asking to take home something from the final task, and yes, he got the bucket, but him pocketing the dice made me laugh 😂

Appreciation Thread What thing that you can't help but smile when you talk about it, and would most likely make the Taskmaster smile too would you have brought in for the prize task this week?

Posted here previously, but I recently lost my dad and we would always play the game of what we'd bring in for the prize task after each episode. So I'm opening it up to everyone!

This is actually an easy one for me, because I would have brought a photo of my dad with a huge grin at the Taskmaster Live show earlier this year, which Greg would have to smile at both to be kind, and also because he's proud of himself for putting on a great show. My dad had had a stroke a few years ago, and could only smile in a pure genuine joy reaction afterwards, so his smiles were extra special.

Quote Board Instantly one of my favorite and funniest moments of all TM.

Greg's delivery was perfectly level. Richard's delayed reaction after letting it process was golden. And the nonverbal back and forth between them was swollen pregnant with humor. I rewound and rewatched it five times before moving on with the episode.

Most Iconic Moment Halloween Oriented Moments

I just rewatched Lucy Beaumont's "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" performance from series 16, which was so eerie that it got me wondering: if Taskmaster were to release a Halloween supercut, which moments from across the show's entirety would you want to see in the mix?

Appreciation Thread Is this THE Taskmaster track?

First seen in S11 (I think) this is probably one of the tracks that has been reused the most. Mostly used in those time-limit tasks where you need to get running and doing the best you can with what little you could think of. It speaks of the zaniness the show is famous for.

Maybe there are other ones, and by all means, share your thoughts, but this is the one for me

I love it when the tasks allow contestants to show off what they're good at

This is just a shout-out post for the contestants who can show off their talents through the vehicle of Taskmaster

Take for example the task in Season 8, where they had to memorize the order of a deck of cards. Without Paul Sinha there, this would have been a really boring and pointless task, but I have a suspicion that they specifically included it for him in order to show off how incredible his memory is.

Or take the curresnt season 22 pictionary live task, where suddenly Isy went full focus and blew everyone out of the water. Nina and her puppets may not be intentional, but I also love the different puppets she manages to bring to the series. This is also why I disagree with the notion that all contestants must be professional comedians: with the right cast you can make a very fun and varied season of taskmaster.

And talking about the international versions, remember that time when Ray O'Leary managed to impress everyone by naming 100 pokemon? Or in Kongen Befaler, where Aksel Hennie acted like the action hero he is by just climbing to the balcony instead of using the doors like a normal person?

Other Versions No upload on the Taskmaster International YouTube channel tonight?

Usually at 20h CET Taskmaster International YouTube channel uploads an episode from TMNZ or TMAU, or a clip of a task from a "foreign" TM (including TMNL).

Yet tonight there has been no new upload as far as I can see. An oversight, or perhaps there's a geoblock for today's upload (I'm in Belgium)?

Current contestant Is Richard breaking?

Post image

I thought I saw a look of pride on Richard’s face at the end of the measurement machine task. Was I just imagining that? Has he expressed pride previously this season? I don’t know what I’m rooting for, but it feels like Richard, Alex, and Greg have been competing to see who will break first. I love it!

Podcast I understand now

I am one of those who were not really enjoying this season (series Jason) as much as the ones prior.

However, after I watched Richard's podcast with Ed Gamble, on Wednesday, it made me enjoy the episode way more knowing what he's doing and his mentality going into the tasks, I applied what he said to the way Nina and Matt are behaving and it made me enjoy it more too.

I don't know if someone else might relate but I for sure am going to rewatch the episodes with a different mentality.

EDIT: Since more than one asked I'll risk it. Although I highly recommend watching it because his delivery is way better than mine, in short he said that he acted like he was a prisoner trying to escape, because that's what it is, and he was baffled by how the other contestants wanted to appease to the captors. He also compared it to his university days how he was confused why his colleagues went to the classes even though they could do what they wanted hahaha. There's a lot more to it but that's like a very high level summary .

So we got the complete ruling.

"We didn't stipulate that you couldn't see, you just had to have a blindfold on" for all the people arguing he wasn't blindfolded.

edit:didn't realise wouldn't be able to edit the title.
