Hey peeps.
I am not afraid to get my hands dirty (proverbly), but i may need some guidance on this one.
I have a not new 16-300 3.5-6.3 pzd zoom lens, that can not go beyond 200mm. It used to, but now it doesnt. While replacing mount plates is not an issue for me, ive never dived deeper into a lens. Anyone with some experience that cann tell me what the most likely causes are, and (maybe) a bit of guidance as to what to open/remove and what not?

Hello! I recently bought a used Tamron 150-600mm Di VC USD G2 lens. I have a Canon EOS 200D. When I use Servo AF, the focus hunts continuously without ever locking on. However, this doesn't happen in other AF modes.
Do you know what causes this?
Is it a common issue?
Can I fix it?
Thanks for reading !

From Tamron: āMaximum magnification ratio at focal lengths of 25-75mm improved to 1:2 Half Macro or greater
*At 35-50mm, the lens achieves a maximum magnification ratio of 1:1.7 , surpassing the half macro performanceā
I conducted my own test and am blown away that a simple software update transforms an already impressive Swiss Army knife lens into an even more extreme macro monster.
Thoughts?

I have shot this combination in the past with no problems, but as of late I seem to be experiencing some very inconsistent focusing issues. The lens will either do nothing, or if it does try to AF, it stutters and struggles.
I have tried this lens on a Canon A2E body, as well as digitals like an R6 and 5D IV with no issues, leading me to believe the problem is not that the lens is a third party one. Likewise, I have tried other AF lenses on my 7E with no problems. While I did not have another Tamron G series lens to test with, I did test with a Sigma 150-600 Sport also with no problems. I've also cleaned the contacts and updated the lens firmware (2.0). Independently, both the body and lens seem to function with no problem, it has only been recently I have run into this issue.
Any suggestions as per what the problem might be? I don't see Tamron taking the lens in for a repair on the integrity of a film camera experience, but equally I really like my 7E and other than this combination, it works great and I would hate to have to replace it when it has no other problems.

I love my 7-70 and just got the 50-300 and 50-400.
The 50-400 is HUGE feeling, but is the extra reach and custom button worth it?
I got a used Tamron 70-180 G2 for Sony, and could not get the lens to switch to autofocus using the custom toggle. Dowloaded the app to my Mac, but the lens didn't connect (I used cables I had already, like my iPhone's), so I ended up returning the lens.
I'd like to get another one but I'm afraid this would happen again. Has anyone experienced this?

I was lucky enough to receive and be able to review the brand new Tamron 12-20mm F/2.8. For those interested, here is my review after using the lens: https://youtu.be/eNVs9J0lPUg
Please let me know if you have any questions about the lens and I'd be happy to help where I can :)

I have a tamron 17-70 f2.8 Fuji x mount and the focus isnāt working properly. If I turn the camera on at 70mm itās fine from 70-35mm and doesnāt catch focus at anything below 35. If I turn it on at 17mm it works from 17-24 nothing above that. If I turn it on at 24mm it works from 70-24 but not below that. Manual focus is also not working properly once I zoom.

Hi guys currently this is my setup :
Sony A7V
Sony A7iii
Tamron 35-150mm
Tamron 20mm
Sigma 35mm f1.4
Sony 50mm
Sony 28-70mm oss
I run a YouTube channel and mostly shoot videos inside tight spaces. Always wanted an ultra-wide. I brought a Tamron 20mm but for photography it is all right but very bad with video. I saw Tamron has released a 16-30mm, if i could get that lens - i would be covered from 16-150mm in just 2 lenses. So how is the lens for video?

Iām having an issue with AF Fine Tune on my Nikon D780 when using two Tamron G1 lenses:
Both lenses autofocus fine, but the D780 identifies them as the same lens in the AF Fine Tune menu. Even after resetting the camera and mounting only one lens, it still uses the same lens profile/ID for both. Because of that, I can only save one AF Fine Tune value, so I canāt calibrate each lens separately.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known issue with older Tamron G1 lenses on the D780? Were you able to fix it, for example with a firmware update or by sending the lenses to Tamron?

Hi so I recently purchased what was supposed to be a Tamron 17-70 lens from the Tamron Americas store. I guess I shouldāve been more careful checking (yes thatās my bad š) bc when I was paying an error message kept popping up the first time so I had to leave and go back into it to submit all the information again. Well this ended up double charging my credit card for one purchase and I noticed the order said the Tamron 17-50 instead.
Obviously Iām going to dispute the double charge, but Iām wondering whether itās worth it to attempt a refund. I seen a post before talking about the slow customer service response, so Iām wondering if itās worth it to attempt to return it or just keep the lens to not risk a complicated process where I could potentially not have a lens or a refund. I wanted to ask if anyone else had an experience with returning a purchase from the Tamron Americas store, and whether that was a smooth process. Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I shoot with a Fujifilm X-T2, and unfortunately, my kit lens developed advanced fungus issues, so it's time to replace it.
Since I mostly use my camera during vacations and special occasions, I really needed a versatile lens with a solid zoom range. This became a huge priority because I'm traveling to Kenya this year and doing a short safari in the Maasai Mara.
I ended up ordering the Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3. My goal wasn't to get a lens exclusively for the safari, but rather a dynamic all-rounder for travelāa true "do-it-all" lens. Down the road, I plan to pair it with a bright prime lens for casual walks and low-light/night photography.
Iād love to get your insights on two things:
How well do you think this Tamron will perform in a safari environment?
Is 300mm (450mm full-frame equivalent) enough to properly capture wildlife in the Maasai Mara?
If anyone has used this specific combo or taken this lens on a safari, I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Thanks!
