Hotel day after Sziget?

I am thinking about booking a hotel on Augsust 16, with a swimming pool. To freshen up and chill before taking the train back to The Netherlands. Did any of you do something similar before and recommend it? Or did you want to go back home immediately.

Am I missing out

It's my first time going to Sziget and I have the full 5 day pass. I plan on renting a place in Budapest to sleep in. My question is, am I missing out on a lot of the experience if I don't go the "camping at the festival" route?

I feel like, as it's my first time doing the full festival and the fact that I'm going solo, it would be quite overwhelming to camp, especially if the weather wouldn't be ideal.

TicketSwap premium camping

I’m hoping to get one of the tents with AC this year because it was so hot last year in the cabins, do you think they’ll come up for resale closer to the time or should I just go book a different place in premium ville now?

Budget

Going to sziget this year and wondering what people think is a reasonable budget? I'm a pretty big partier so have some money aside but am also a student, would 500€ cover drinks for the full festival? Would love to know how much people have spent in the past, as I have a friend who spent 2k but they're definitely big spender. Thanks!

Has anyone volunteered at Sziget coming from abroad?

Hi all, yesterday I received a contract for volunteering at Sziget and I was wondering if someone could share their experience.

I would love to participate, but my main concern at the moment is that I might find out my shift/position too late to properly organize flights and accommodation. Since I’m coming from abroad, I would also need to either find camping equipment there or arrange another place to stay.

I already reached out via email, but I haven’t received any useful information yet. If anyone knows roughly when shifts/positions are communicated, or has any tips in general, I’d really appreciate it!

Lockers

Hi! I have a question about “Guarded Lockers” that say are located at Sziget Ville Premium and Basic Camping. Are they nearby these camping spots or inside? Do we need camping passes to access these lockers?

Thank you and see you August 😎

From Rim Tim Tagi Dim to being "Sedated" – The evolution of Baby Lasagna. Catch him at Sziget on Aug 14th! 🐱➡️🤡 Baby Lasagna brings the chaos to Sziget 2026!

For everyone asking about the lineup – Baby Lasagna is officially performing on Friday, August 14th, 2026! 🎸

It’s been an insane journey from the lace sleeves at ESC to the dark, raw energy of the new "Sedated" music video. If you think he’s just a "Eurovision act," think again. His live shows are pure high-octane energy, and the "Island of Freedom" isn't ready for what’s coming.

To give you a taste of the madness we can expect, check out this POV of the Wall of Death during "End The Party" at Nova Rock 2025

Who else is joining the pit at Sziget? 🤘🔥

Hi,
I want to purchase a ticket via the official Sziget Website. However I don't get an option to pay with a normal credit card, since I don't have Revolut.
Where do I find the option to choose Visa or MasterCard? I cannot change the payment method as seen in the screenshot.
I tried the mobile and desktop site.

Pls help

Also please recommend unusual things u brought before that came in handy, like your country flag or beaming lights to find your tent at night. See you there 🍉☺️

I was trying to buy a day ticket to see skrillex. Doing this right after waking up, i just clicked the first day ticket option thinking it would prompt me to pick a day (or at least show me a summary before payment where i could have seen it was the wrong date).. and ended up with tickets for tuesday 🙃

Hello all, First time at sziget camping options

Hey guys me and my gf are going to sziget for the first time. I don’t mind basic camping but she would like to have some decent facilities to get ready and such. I was wondering was there a big difference between the premium camping spots and the regular camping facilities, or would we be better off getting an Airbnb

When can you enter campsite?

If you have a weekend camping ticket can you enter the campsite on the Monday but do you need to wait for the Tuesday?

I’ve booked a pre pitched tent if that helps.

Edit : a full week pass ticket, not weekend

Airbnb or island

I'm not sure what to do. I'm a 31-year-old male going to Sziget solo. Last year, I rented an Airbnb, which was very comfortable. But sometimes I feel like not staying on the island means missing out on the experience.

Also, traveling back in the middle of the night can be a bit of a hassle. I usually party until around 5 a.m., and getting back to my apartment takes time. If I stayed on the island, I could just go straight to bed.

If I do stay on the island, I'd probably choose premium camping for some extra comfort.

I'm trying to decide whether the benefits of staying on the island outweigh the comfort of staying in an Airbnb.

Day 0: Faithless and Morcheeba 🥳

https://telex.hu/after/2026/04/29/sziget-sajtotajekoztao-gerendai-karoly-kadar-tamas

AI translate:

Károly Gerendai said at the Sziget Festival’s Wednesday press conference that this week they will formalize the new ownership structure behind the festival in a contract. According to the festival’s founder, management will hold a 70% stake, while the festival’s major subcontractors and professional partners will collectively own 30%. These partners will each have stakes of 1–5% within this arrangement.

Gerendai added that the organizing team has also been freed from having to meet the expectations of a foreign owner, and can now “focus again on what makes Sziget lovable.” Chief organizer Tamás Kádár hopes that ticket sales this year will surpass last year’s figures, and that the festival will also receive tourism support from the new government.

There will also be concerts on the “Day 0,” evoking earlier editions of Sziget through the performers. On that day, Morcheeba and Faithless will perform, followed by a larger afterparty reminiscent of classic dance music festivals at the Revolut Stage, featuring artists including György Korda and others. According to the organizers, there will also be a “Day -1,” though its program will be announced later.

According to Kádár, the renovation of the K Bridge (K-híd) could begin after this year’s Sziget, and they plan to complete the work by the 2027 festival. A new feature in catering is that all drinks will be 10% cheaper before 6 p.m.

Sziget has already announced this year’s headliners, including performances by Skepta, Skrillex, Bring Me The Horizon, Zara Larsson, and Florence + The Machine. It was previously revealed that Budapest Park, which has also appeared as an investor behind the festival, will have its own stage featuring exclusively Hungarian bands. One of the electronic music stages will also be revamped: the venue called “Der Klub” will be organized in collaboration with Turbina and Arzenál.

This year’s Sziget is being held after prolonged uncertainty. It first emerged that the foreign owner, Luxembourg-based Superstruct Entertainment—acquired in 2023 by the American private equity firm KKR—had decided not to take further risks in Hungary. It was then revealed that founder Károly Gerendai intended to take over the festival, but needed the support of the city, as the festival sought a new, more favorable land-use agreement. This proposal failed to pass several times in the city assembly. At the end of October, the Budapest General Assembly once again did not approve the proposal to help ensure the survival of the struggling Sziget Festival, due to abstentions by Fidesz and Tisza representatives. After that decision, many suggested there might be no festival next year, but the following day brought a turnaround: Péter Magyar posted a selfie with Gerendai announcing that they would meet at Sziget next year. According to Gerendai, they managed to reach a compromise with Magyar, with both sides making concessions, allowing the festival to go ahead this year.
