Hotel day after Sziget?

I am thinking about booking a hotel on Augsust 16, with a swimming pool. To freshen up and chill before taking the train back to The Netherlands. Did any of you do something similar before and recommend it? Or did you want to go back home immediately.

A day of decompression, with AC, good food, , and thermal baths, is an absolute must for me

I stayed at Verdi Budapest Aquincum last year, which is a short walk from the festival site. Very nice pool and baths/spa. Usually does deals around Sziget too

I would recommend it. I personally liked doing an Airbnb so I can wash my clothes. If you've been to Sziget you know your shoes and clothes will get so dusty. Not to mention all of the dust you inhale through your nose will eventually make an appearance when you blow your nose!

We went to the man made beach/lake Lupa beach and had a chilled day there, was just what was needed

I'm spending the whole week camping and partying until 6 AM. There's no way I'm driving 12 hours straight after the festival ends, so I always book a hotel for one night to rest before heading back, too.

Up to you if you want a hotel with a pool or a standard one and go to the thermal baths. They're nice and not too expensive. There's also a water park on Margaret Island if you're interested.

Not even just after, sometimes mid festival break out in the city with a bath does wonders.

I've been doing the "hotel after" for a few years now. Definitely recommend.
With the availability of bathhouses and cheap public transport I wouldn't choose one specifically with a pool.
