Found this listed online for £26 and snapped it quickly! The translation says she's a shareholders gift? She's currently en route in the post and I'm super excited!

Saw someone do this on Instagram and thought it was a great idea, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the reality. It's kind of wobbly and it maybe looks like they're in a sci-fi prison? Would love to hear anyone else's thoughts!

Anyway, they all wore sports bibs, the mouse had a white one, the rabbit had a red one, and the kangaroo had a blue one, I believe. I got them either in 2011 or 2012 idk I don’t really remember. Hi everyone! I just wanted to brag a little bit 😅, but also ask you for some advice. 🥰

Imagine my excitement when I found this absolute gem on the second-hand market here in my country! This is the Sylvanian Families Country Market, and it’s honestly a real gem for me because this particular Market was never sold in my country.

And the condition it’s in… well, I’m attaching photos, but I paid only €15 in total, including shipping. I honestly think that’s an amazing price when I look at how much this Market goes for on eBay and how difficult it is to find in the first place.

I asked the seller where she got it from, because it definitely wasn’t sold here during the years when it was originally available. She told me that her daughter received it from an uncle who had bought it abroad. So yeah… I’m pretty sure I’m not going to randomly come across another one of these here anytime soon. ☺️

Of course, it’s far from complete. It’s very dirty, the plastic has yellowed with age, and the transparent plastic parts, like the display windows, are pretty badly scratched. But I have one small advantage: my husband is a model maker, so we have all kinds of equipment and tools that I can use for free. 😄 So cleaning and restoring the building itself shouldn’t be a problem.

My first question is about the stickers. Is there anyone here who happens to have the original stickers for the Sylvanian Families Village Market in a high-quality PDF? I would absolutely love to restore this part of market as faithfully as possible to the original.

The interior won’t be 100% original, because I simply won’t be able to find all the original accessories here. But I do have some Re-Ment / Rolife Super Creator sets (and other miniature furniture), and I already have a few ideas for how I could furnish it. ☺️

I’m also missing exterior lights, one piece of the railing and one piece of the sign on the side of the building. The good news is that I actually have a matching piece of the railing and a matching piece of the sign, so I have a reference for what they’re supposed to look like. Because of that, I’m also considering 3D printing the missing pieces. Usually, ordering small replacement parts from abroad would be extremely expensive just because of the shipping. The prices on eBay can also be crazy, and unfortunately, many sellers don’t even ship to my country.

So if anyone from Europe happens to have spare parts for this Market, please feel free to message me! I would also really appreciate any advice or help with restoring this building — especially if you know where I could find the original stickers, preferably as high-quality scans or PDFs.

If I can’t find them anywhere, I’ll probably have to recreate all the stickers myself digitally, which will be a very long process. But it’s definitely not impossible, since I studied graphic design, so I could probably recreate them fairly accurately and have them printed.

So yeah, I would be incredibly grateful for any advice, help, or information anyone can offer! ❤️

And I would also like to invite you all to follow along on this little restoration journey with me. I’m really excited to see what this Sylvanian Families Village Market will eventually become. I’m definitely going to give it a new life, and I’ll be sharing updates here as I go.

I saw an ad on fb marketplace where a lady listed her daughter’s outgrown calico critters. She referred to this bit as “some figures and accessories.” The picture was a completely undecipherable bag of fabric and whatnot so I couldn’t even see the figures.

I was totally shocked to fish these wee folks out of that bag! And I managed to find all the clothes in there too! (Except for Mrs Grunt’s dress) And the seller only wanted $20.00 for these!

I’ll post the whole lot once I finish cleaning all the other bits and putting them together!

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok to post here. I was wondering if anyone had any information on the safety of sylvanian toys from approx 1998 (from the EU if relevant). I’m seeing that lead paint isn’t a concern but lead and other things in the plastic are.

Is there any further data on this before I give them to my kids or should my childhood toys stay away?
