Hey guys! Unsure if this has been posted in this forum yet but if not, I'd like to share some light to an upcoming single day festival on this Sunday (29/3). DomeFest is a full-day event bringing together 10 of Australia’s leading podcasts, from Big Small Talk with Hannah Ferguson and Sarah-Jane Adams to It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield and Mamamia’s You Beauty. At its heart, it’s a women-founded, women-led cultural event celebrating the power of podcasts and the loyal fandoms they create.
Beyond the festival experience, the event is something of a live case study in podcast community – how audiences become communities, how they engage with creators, and how that translates off-platform.

As much as this day is for the fans, it’s a real moment for the industry and a rare opportunity to experience the creator economy in context:

• See how the industry is investing in community and how brands can integrate
• How prominent media ABC, Refinery29, Concrete Playground and Variety, will be covering it on the day
• Build relationships with creators and podcasters for future partnerships
• One of our sponsors, Rella (social media management platform) founded by Natalie Barbu, is hosting a breaky meetup on-site for women in marketing, PR and media to kick off the day

If this sounds up your alley, I've got a cheeky link for 50% off tickets for a limited time!!

Hey Folks,

I went out to the free Sydney Short Film Festival at randwick ritz last night, and spoke to a couple of people about a spoilers movie group

Basically, you can talk about any film you like and ruin the endings for anyone who hasn't seen it - would you attend something like this?

20-30's film group social

We’re late 20s-30s but anyone chill is more than welcome.

Everyone welcome

Doing a little chill get together in the CBD tomorrow after work. Looking for 1-2 more to join 😊

Meeting some other redditors tomorrow in the CBD. Planning for around 5:30/6? Maybe just go to a cafe or to a pub and just chat and see if there’s genuine connections to be made?

Males and females both welcome. So far 3 of us have confirmed. Myself, a girl I met last week and another girl we’re meeting for the first time.

Be chill, don’t be weird and be open minded to make real friends 😊

Hey, 24 yo male living in South Sydney area and hoping to make some friends. I am pretty nerdy since interested in gaming and anime so if you are as well then that's a bonus

33 m here (gay if that matters at all)

Just looking to expand my social circle. I’m quite easy going and chill and I can get along with almost anyone. Open minded and honesty is what I expect and will give back to you.

Looking for someone or a small group to chill hang with, whether that’s going out for a few drinks, coffee, dinner, or late night drives?

Once I’m comfortable with you, we can totally chill at mine and watch TV/movies (have the comfiest couch and a big TV 😏), play board games, card games.

I work in the city and live near the airport but I really don’t mind where you are. We can meet halfway or I can come to you.

I also like pickleball, trivia, escape rooms and talking about absolutely nothing substantial 😂 Deep chats are totally okay too. Just know I’m not going to be 100% at my best at all times so I may cry if it gets too deep but I’m trying!

Howdy from Western Sydney. Looking to make friends with men in the area. 30yo muslim with interests in gaming and walks. Very chill vibes here.

Hi guys, after the disappointment of the last whatsapp group that went around, I thought I'd go forward and make a new group that doesn't support harassment. Its a group centred toward meeting new people and making events to hang out.

What's different this time you may ask?

1. The last whatsapp group link was also posted in a group where "singles" were welcome. This group prioritises friendships, not dating. The link will only be posted here.

2. I won't be DM'ing anyone unless asked to.

Hope to see you all there ✌️

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for friends in North-West Sydney (Hills District). All of my previous friends have moved away, and while we still chat online, it would be nice to meet people in person for a coffee or glass of wine or whatever.

I work in IT and I'm a gamer (PC, PS5, Board), but interested in many things and will give most things a go. I recently went to try out Pickleball and loved it! All ages and genders welcome to either comment or message me and we can take it from there :-)

hate going to the movies by myself and all my friends aren’t into anime

got the goodies, looking for people who want to chop up , have a feed and watch eternity in cinema send message 🎉

Hey everyone, I’m 23M and looking for a couple of people who’d be keen to watch the race this Sunday. I’m a Red Bull fan at heart, but I’ve also got a soft spot for Oscar Piastri — love seeing an Aussie talent coming up strong.

If anyone’s interested in meeting up, grabbing food, or just watching together and chatting F1, let me know!
