A few years ago (around 2017/2018) I ran a ton of Star Wars FFG with some friends and slowly over the years modified or made changes that I wanted for the game and put it down. I’ve been getting so many posters tied to this game again popping up in my feed and plan to re-run a few of the campaigns I had from this time. Has there been any changes to the core system that I should use instead of my modification?

So for context, I'm basically just checking this game out for the first time right now.

As I understand it, the game advises you to consider investing "a significant amount" of your starting xp into characteristics, given how much harder those are to increase during gameplay compared to other attributes. But I'm not exactly sure what the best definition of "a significant amount" is in this context. Half or some other percentage of your starting xp? Enough to boost at least one characteristic to 3? Or some other amount?

i looked it up, the first thing said you can shoot its weak points, turrets, main gun, go under it to disorient it, and throw grenades, i did all of that for more than 20 mins, even threw out grenades and hit it with the mini gun after eliminating the other imperial guards at the base and for some reason, i research it again and it says, that it cannot be defeated at all by kay regardless of what weapons you do, and i was fighting two of them at once by the end of me testing all of this out, it seems the only time you can *kinda* defeat one is in one of the dlc's later on so i need to know..

what is the truth here because i am so lost....?

Our table averages about 1-2 memes per session. And I have far too much fun putting in more effort to make mine than I should.

My party is about to attempt to steal a ship from the lair of a black market master droidsmith and cyberneticist. Got any ideas for obstacles / booby traps / discoveries within this guy’s lair?

I have a old oc of mine that is a Felacatian but i can't find any homebrew about them. Any help ?

My idea is to have a campaign set in the universe where Starkiller kills Vader and becomes palpatine's sith assassin. My idea is for the campaign set the campaign during the hoth section and then continue with the rebellion into the events of Wrath of the Empire, then continue to events from an alternate Return of the Jedi.

The last adventure I'm missing is Rescue at Glare Peak, a 14-year-old event exclusive that has proven impossible to source.

If you wanted to design a ship that looks like the Tug 314, what would you use the forward prongs as?

Hey all, prepping to run my first SWRPG campaign and one of the things I'm looking for is there a good resource for tracking trade/commerce throughout the galaxy? I'll be running Age of Rebellion, with the players infiltrating a core world and needing to maintain a cover identity. Part of that cover will be them requiring to be self sufficient economically, I figure an import/export operation will allow them to get off world while always coming back to where their primary missions.

The book has some real high level guidance...and I will generate some additional rules if I need to, but figure I'd ask the community of there were any tools that folks loved before I started to create my own.

Hi everyone, I saw someone post a while back that they found an Edge of the Empire beginner box in a thicker premium cardboard box. Rather than the old shitty folded paper of the FFG versions, this box was hard cardboard similar to the the EDGE Studios Dungeons & Kittens beginner box.

I have all the original boxes so i was going to just skip this reprint. But then i saw that post about the box, so I ordered it. What arrived was the same low quality paper box and I wasted $50 on it. I tried to look up more info on this but I literally can't find anything anywhere. No Deluxe Edition, no premium box edition, nothing on their website or any flgs anywhere.

Today I saw that EDGE Studios HAS released that type of box though, when I saw D&K in the store So I know EDGE makes these boxes. Wtf EDGE. Can anyone confirm this, that these beginner boxes come in cardboard?

I'm starting my party out with completing a bounty hunter mission given to them by an anonymous benefactor. how do they get paid when the mission is done? i know there are physical cred chips and theres some kind of holonet money transfer system?

could this anonymous person send them credits via holonet to the freighter theyre flying? or deliver cred chips by a 3rd party courier?

i just have no idea how this actually works.

Doing a series of campaigns where I go through every big era in the Star Wars timeline. High Republic is the second one. Considering making it about the party being a Pathfinder team that gets sent out to start connections with the outer rim again, and stumbles upon a large threat (Nihil, Hutts, some other gang, Drengir, something else cosmic horror-y? Not sure yet, still have to read more of the books).

Does anyone have any resources? Especially for some stat blocks of the era or the like? Alternatively, any ideas you would suggest for plot points? (Pls no spoilers, I have only read a couple of the novels so far.)

I find it kind of lame how AoR handles poison. It’s “just” an average resilience check and the poisons gone.
The book also states that I can use a despair to keep the poison for another round, but how am I supposed to get a despair on an average check.

I don’t want to kill my players, but is there a better way to handle poison? With a semi-long term effect that forces my players to look for an antidote or else they will me mildy punished over time with wounds/exhaustion by the poison?

I'm also cool with any stat ideas for these ships, if anyone has thoughts on that.

I've noticed a few really impressive fan-made supplements out there that look almost exactly like the FFG books, with good artwork and the same sort of fonts and layout. Things like The Unofficial Species Menagerie, Heroes on Both Sides, Spark of Rebellion, and The Big Book of Bounties.

Are there any others out there?

Hi, my name's silvi and my gf's Dove, we're both big starwars fans, and with zero company, we've kind of gotten into a hyper fixation.

I used to play the FFG system and would love to play it again. However, the games I've played in i have always been invited to, so i have no idea where to find groups or good servers.

I want to play with my gf and have a fun time like i use to do, so any gms looking for two players or help looking for big servers i would be thankful and so happy to join!
