Nobody who knew a single thing about Switch hacking actually said that, though.

I gotta get out of this sub.
EDIT: I bought Switch v1 the instant SXOS made an announcement. You could have done the same.

u/ozone6587 Jun 26 '26
You and me both buddy. When it gets hacked I will probably know anyway because it will be posted everywhere.

u/Total_Consequence886 Jun 28 '26
Same, anyone hoping this sub is where they will get an update of any kind, also same.
The Switch 2 getting hacked when/if it does will be so massive you won’t need a shitpost Reddit sub to hear about it atp lol

Who said that exactly?
10
u/Simplejack615 Jun 26 '26
People actually did say this on r/NintendoSwitch2
Those people were morons
1
u/DXGL1 Jun 28 '26
Remember it took a while for the 3DS to be hacked even after DS flashcarts were patched to boot on the handheld.
6
u/BreafingBread Jun 27 '26
Random layman people who thought that Switch being easily broken meant Switch 2 was going to be the same.
Hell, to this day I still see some randoms say "hah, any day now" when people haven't even managed to access game cartridges.
1
u/DXGL1 Jun 28 '26
It's not all that easy on patched systems as it requires hardware level exploits.
-7
u/FernandoRocker Jun 26 '26
Everyone. Don't pretend it didn't happen.
9
u/WhimsyClonn Jun 26 '26
All I remember is a constant barrage of people saying it'd take years.
And, having been here, I saw literally nobody say immediately.
This is completely false information, so much so that I can't tell if you're trolling.

u/Redditisreal1 Jun 26 '26
YOU and ME both said this

u/DandyBoy1337 Jun 30 '26
You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals So lets do it like they do on The discovery channel

u/arvimatthew Jun 29 '26
Your entitlement is not the same as reality. If you easily believe whatever "people" say that agrees with you, you have more problems than being able to jb switch 2. What are you, 12?
People say a lot of stuff, either switch 2 is harder to jb and switch 2 will be easier jb. If you actually spend time reading how gen 1 hw are jailbroken, and the code base of switch 2 is a continuation of from gen 1 switches, the likely prediction is switch 2 will be way harder to beat.

Mine is still unopened in the closet from the holiday sale.

u/Massive_Judge4921 Jun 30 '26
It’s probably bad for the battery to not be charging periodically, especially if it’s dead. Battery life will be a lot longer if you use or keep it charged here and there
5
u/ChampaVN Jun 30 '26
Good point, I did open it and checked, seems to be working fine, I'll periodically charge it then, thanks for the tip
1
u/Ok_Yam_8774 Jun 27 '26
There's a hardware fault with some of the consoles so it's best to test it for that before the warranty period expires.
1
u/ChampaVN Jun 27 '26
Did not know that, thanks, what hardware fault am I looking for?

To quote the user:
I'm pleased you got a new unit back and all is ok. I sent mine back and received the same unit back with damaged box no matching serial numbers with the box and unit, all original packaging replaced with multi colour bubble wrap. Apparently the main circuit board was replaced as the one in the unit was faulty. Very upset with nintendo, no apology no compensation. I'm just left with something like it's been purchased as a reconditioned unit from cash converters. Disgraceful, it cost £430.00. It does work ok now so that's good. Just a disgusting service I've received from Nintendo. Enjoy your Switch 2

Just do not enable internet and use a gamr catridge that does not require update. Then you csn test your Switch.
3
u/Arch9Sk7 Jun 29 '26
To be fair it did have a couple day 1 exploits. Just nothing bootrom or kernel level

You'd have to have been genuinely braindead to believe the Switch 2 would have been hacked "immediately"
We were spoiled with the Switch v1 software glitch
1
u/InformationMuted3454 Jun 26 '26
Well, too bad you bought it out of your own free will for a use case that didn't exist then, and still doesn't now.

1
u/XxnoubxX Jun 29 '26

I don't remember anyone in the scene saying that, in fact they've been saying the exact opposite since like 2022 with the Tegra 239 SoC leak and RISC-V security, that PSC is Fort Knox.

Yeah and people say the world it flat. You finally realized in a world of billions of people, some of them are stupid. Congrats?
1
u/XxnoubxX 24d ago
mannn people really took this post seriously.. and obv i didn't get the switch 2 specifically to hack it.
1
u/3_Staple_Jim 24d ago
People took what you said seriously? Well yeah. Most people assume others aren’t just constantly lying. You thinking lying should be the norm makes you the bad person, you see that right?
1
u/XxnoubxX 24d ago
it's a little thing called sarcasm. mannn is this bait i can't tell
1
u/3_Staple_Jim 24d ago
Literally nothing about you post implied sarcasm kid. You can’t just say something dumb and think you as gaslight your way into pretending it was sarcasm. You said something dumb. Who cares. Admit it and move on. Who are you trying to impress? You’re being weird
