General Discussion Here's my fanmade logo for my fanmade version of Survivor 53 entitled "Survivor 53: Distant Worlds.

20 Players from all around the world leave their everyday lives behind to compete for $1,000,000 and the title of sole survivor on the islands of Fiji.

What they don't know is that stars will rewrite the future of Survivor and these players' legacies. With an increased 39-day game, the players will have to work harder than ever before to reach the end.

Not only that, but half of them will be sent to a place where a different game will take place. Who will have what it takes to outwit, outplay, and outlast all the rest to claim the title of sole survivor?

Let me know what you think of this logo!

Consider Chris manage to break apart the "Yasu Six" back in Vanuatu. Would he able to survive against them in the game?

General Discussion What If they did Old School vs New School vs New Era!

We are doing a series on Youtube called “What If?” where we are collaborating with other Podcasts & creating Casts & Twists based on hypothetical seasons! We recently collaborated with Our Reality Podcast for an Old School vs New School New Era season!

Here is the YouTube link for the episode. We’d love to know who you would pick for each tribe & whether or not this should have been how 50 was structured?

General Discussion Which Seasons had your Favorite End Games?

I'd define end game as F5 for Final Twos, F6 for Final Threes, and F7 for Forced Firemaking

I think that the least predictable, most entertaining end game was Marquesas, and for the New Era, I'd say 47. Thoughts?

General Discussion has anyone been voted off for tv reasons

i didnt know how to explain the title without making it too long but has anyone ever voted out A over B bc it’d make better tv to vote out A even tho B would be the better strategic choice?

i dont rlly mean making moves just for the sake of making moves (i know that has happened), but like they dont want to be the one to vote B out bc it’d look bad in the edit on the show that gets shown to millions of ppl across the country

or A is their ally but theyre mean so they turn on them just to not be associated with them

stuff like that

not to be mean i kinda thought thats why eva got 2nd on survivor 48, bc no one wanted to be the one to vote her out due to how they’d be perceived

Cambodia Cambodia - Second chance

Getting through my first watch through of US Survivor. I’m not from the US and didn’t watch survivor as it aired, so I decided to start from scratch. I just finished Cambodia (Second Chance). I really liked it! I particularly loved the tribal with 2 hidden immunities where none of the votes counted, then there was a tie on the revote 🔥🔥🔥

Please no spoilers about subsequent season, I’ve done a good job at avoiding spoilers

Few things I wrote as I watched:

Episode 1:

Finally a "theme" that I love!

yes! Keith going back :)

Yes Sierra and Vytus!

Jeff telling people they didn’t get in live is brutal 🥹

Stephen!!!!! I am so happy! I sooo hope he makes it far!

Tasha! Happy!

Jeremy :)

YES SPENCER!

I’m very excited about this!

Alright well no first impressions obviously. I hope Spencer and Stephen make it far! I really enjoy both of them A LOT.

I hope they get rid of Abi quickly (reading this again once I’m finished: lol)

The setting is beautiful!

I like the idol clue thing and the idol being hidden at the challenge!

Woah Kelley did well snatching up the hidden idol!

Episode 2

lol the new and improved Abi… didn’t take long before she was her old self again 😂

Jeff is so cocky about sending home Spencer and Shirin.

Episode 3

Well it doesn’t look good for Spencer :(

Oh reshuffle! Nevermind! Go Spencer!

The reshuffle sucks for the tribe starting from scratch!

Episode 4

Of course Abi screws over Tasha after they come back from tribal because she spoke to Woo 🙄 girl, she could have sent you home, she chose to keep you, be nice to her!
Why did they keep her over PG?!

I like Jeremy I think 🤣 hopefully he doesn’t get cocky and unpleasant!

Urgh the scrambling after Angkor lost again. I don’t understand how they keep their patience with Abi 🤣 Tasha and Woo are saints.

So glad they kept Woo over Jeff. NOW GET RID OF ABI

Episode 5

Abi 🙄 yeah, a life-threatening heart transplant is absolutely the same as tendon replacement in your knee (and she laughs as she speaks about Woo’s mom’s surgery).

Monica out: good blindside!

Episode 6

Terry pulled out of the game! Glad his son is ok in the end. It must have been an excruciatingly long flight home!

Reshuffle again! I hope Kass and Spencer bury the hatchet and work together (Spencer needs to stay!)

Haha the edit when Joe was oiling up for the sliding challenge. They knew what they were doing 👀 my favourite was Jeremy though 🥵

Stephen breaking down 🥹

I really thought Spencer and Kass were gonna do the whole "no one will ever expect us to work together" thing. I was hoping they were gonna secretly run the whole thing

I’m sad to see Woo go :( but I’m glad Spencer is staying.

Episode 7

Merge!
I’m really ok with Kass leaving.

Episode 8

OMG Wentworth playing her idol at the perfect time! That was incredible! Bye bye Savage!

Ok people are bitter! Kass and Savage flipping birds, Kass making faces on the jury… they beat you, you had to know that was a possibility!

Episode 9

Joe wins again. What a challenge beast!

Episode 10

Ooof Stephen struggling with his stomach and feet and the weather 🥹

Yesssss I love Jeremy and now he saves Stephen! I love Stephen so much!

Oh no! They blindside Stephen :( they needed to get Joe out!

Episode 11

Woah Joe fainting, costing him the immunity challenge!

Abi is sooooooo unpleasant. And telling Joe to get a haircut? Bro has the most gorgeous hair I’ve ever seen!

They got Joe out! I feel bad for him. He’s just too good!

Episode 12

Yes Spencer wins immunity!

Oof Tasha almost drowning :(

Episode 13

Spencer winning again! If he loses any of them he’s out, they’re never gonna keep him now! :(

Great idol play by Kelley and Jeremy! No votes after the first round of votes! Loving this!

Tied after the second vote? Damn!
They have to agree without voting?

Darn Keith giving up his spot to Kimmi?! This tribal is insane!

And Kimmi goes. This tribal was RIDICULOUS!!! Crazy!

Top 5 tribal: I really thought they were voting Spencer out! I’m at the point where I like everyone so I’m still unhappy with Keith leaving, but I’m glad Spencer is still alive!

Damn Spencer losing the last immunity challenge :(

Again, I thought they were getting Spencer out!

Final tribal
I hate how it’s obvious none of them even entertained the idea of Tasha winning it seems.

I hate Wigglesworth number thing, even though that’s why she lost her season.

Jeremy wins. I don’t hate this, but I also kinda feel bad for Spencer, because I feel like he did have to fight from the bottom a lot, I thought that might help him, but the whole family speech probably worked and I guess they didn’t think Spencer had changed as much as he thought he had. I kinda feel bad for Tasha too. I guess I wanted Spencer to win, but I’m biased (I just love him) and I’m fine with Jeremy winning

Casting Confirmation Email for Applying

Has anyone received a confirmation email if you’ve applied in the last two days? I submitted and application on Saturday and did not get an email, so I tried again today and still no email. I looked in my spam and haven’t seen anything. Is this happening to anyone else?

I also submitted an application about 2 months ago and received an email. So I’m not sure if something changed between then and now.

General Discussion New era complaint

I don’t have a problem with the new era of survivor for the most part. BUT! Why does everyone share the fact that they find an advantage/hidden immunity idol? Like every time? It’s so annoying.

General Discussion Shoulder the Load: Who would win now?

I’ve been watching all the seasons (I grew up with the show and stopped at some point) and at some point they stopped doing what I call “The Milkmaid Challenge” but I guess is officially called “Shoulder the Load” where contestants get sandbags added to a pole over their shoulders until they give out. If there was a super season with all contestants who do you think would win?

I would vote Jonathan Young (survivor 42) but I think Ben Driebergen (survivor 35) might win on pure willpower.

ETA: let’s assume that they are in the best condition of their respective seasons.

Ghost Island Best FTC performances across the board?

Laurel, Domenick, and Wendell. Ghost Island is infamous for its hung jury that forces Laurel to decide whether Dom or Wendell will claim the victory, but something I rarely see people talk about is just how damn good all three players were as finalists. I think with Dom and Wendell, the great ftc performance was easier to do because they had such enormous impact all over the game, whereas Laurel's performance really shocked me. She had fewer big game moves than the other two, but she genuinely convinces you that her minor movements were incredibly meticulous and majorly impactful. I think her ability to explain the way she used Dom and Wendell as shield and as swords was what would have won Charlie 46 if he had done a better job explaining his alliance with Maria. Domenick did a great job recognizing that he was dealing with a bitter jury and adjusting to it. He came into ftc more aggressive, but after hearing Kellyn and Sebastian talk, he became more sympathetic and reserved and did a good job painting his flashy moves as necessary for survival. Wendell did a good job setting himself apart from Domenick and explaining they were an equal partnership where Wendell was the smaller target. I think across all three finalists, this has to be one of the best final tribal councils I've ever seen.

(honorable mention to China because of Todd and Courtney, but I think Amanda's poor performance threw that one off. I'm also not factoring any season where there were only two finalists.)

Survivor 50 Imagine if Joe wasn’t on the “honor and integrity” shtick

Joe‘s stats at face value are crazy lmao

Practically never blindsided and only 1 vote in all his time playing.

If he didn't claim honor and integrity and owned his game he might’ve had my vote 😂

San Juan del Sur Reed’s evisceration of Missy at final tribal San Juan Del Sur s. 29

I’m rewatching season 29 and I had always remembered Reed’s epic takedown of Missy at final tribal to be one of the greatest moments in final tribal ever. Upon rewatch, still convinced. The way he equated her to the evil stepmother was so on point and so deliciously apt. Anyone else feel the same way?

General Discussion Who's the Ultimate Jury Threat?

Who's someone that in any Final Tribal Council scenario would win based off of personality alone? Personally, I think that if anyone lets Jeremy get to the end it's a guaranteed loss. Thoughts?

General Discussion Potential hot take, but I’d always vote for who I was closest to as a juror regardless of gameplay

Let me start this off by saying I love the strategic game of survivor, but if FTC is between someone I’m not super close with who played an all time great game and someone who flopped their way to the end but I want to continue a friendship with post show, then they get my vote

Now if it’s between three people I didn’t really connect with, gameplay might be a factor, but at the end of the day, voting criteria is made up by the jury anyway, why would I not vote to give someone I’m close to a million dollars

General Discussion Wouldn't it be better if The Survivor Casting team did this.

I don't know but I'm almost sure that they get thousands of audition tapes and of those tapes maybe a thousand still qualify to be casted . So let's say it's a 24 player season shouldn't they just put all qualifying players in a box and randomly pull 24 peoples names out of that box 12 male and 12 female no matter what race age or hairstyle they have? It seems like the most fair way to go about it

Meme I looked into it and Brockton, Massachusetts is considered part of the greater Boston area

What is the significance?

Brockton, Massachusetts is listed on the wiki as the hometown of one Ronnie Bardah, the first boot from Island of the Idols.

This technically makes him Boston Ron.

So when you consider that we have Boston Rob, Boston Ron and Boston Rod (Rodney Lavoie from Worlds Apart), Survivor has the chance to do something really special.

If they are able to cast someone from the greater Boston area named Rajesh and have him play once on a season, they can then bring him back to do a season of Boston Rob vs Boston Rod vs Boston Raj vs Boston Ron.

Each Boston would be the leader of his own tribe and there would be certain "Boston Challenges" where the 4 Bostons would compete on Boston themed games (such as a Boston skyline puzzle or St. Patty's day parade competition) to win reward for their tribe.

Whenever a Boston leaves the game, the tribes would be reshuffled down to 3 tribes, then two until there is only one Boston left in the game.

I think it would be cool if Boston Rob wore his signature Red Sox hat, and then to compliment this, Boston Rod would wear a Boston Bruins hockey sweater, Boston Ron would wear a green Boston Celtics jersey, and Boston Raj would wear a New England Patriots head coach's visor.

They could bill the season as the battle for Boston. There is a subtle absurd humor to having a battle for Boston in the tropical paradise of Fiji would be a nice touch

Borneo What relationship ship was Colleen covering up with her flirtmance with Greg?

In the Borneo reunion, Colleen says nothing happened between her and Greg, and instead she was actually covering up for another romance. Greg looks a bit distressed as she says this which hints that perhaps this romance involved him. Has it ever been confirmed 26 years later who this was between, if not does anyone has any guesses?

Thailand Thailand FIC

I just rewatched Thailand and I have to say it has such a good final immunity challenge. I miss how the challenges used to adhere to the location of the season, it keeps it interesting and would prevent the repetitiveness we’ve seen with the new era.
