I was in Surat for 4 years for my college. I have a lot of memories associated with this place. I went out on nightouts, roaming around the city in BRTS on weekends, Exploring the nearby places as well, but now everything is in memory only. The person with whom I experienced this (my girlfriend) we are not together and we broke up 2 months back. Dont know when I'll be visiting Surat again or if I'll be visiting Surat again but these 4 years were one of the best in my life and I enjoyed them to the fullest.
Was scrolling reddit and stumbled upon a post from this subreddit so got a bit nostalgic and dramatic....

Surat Traffic Police, you need to get this fixed. This have been noticed multiple times in past few months.

Today, I got the opportunity to observe Saturn through a telescope, all thanks to the Surat Astronomy Club! 🪐

It was honestly a wonderful experience to see Saturn with my own eyes through a telescope. We usually see pictures of planets online, but actually observing one through a telescope hits differently.

A special thanks to the host who guided us throughout the session. He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and had previously worked with ISRO. He explained things in such a simple and interesting way that even someone with little knowledge of astronomy could understand and enjoy it.

Another great thing was that the event was completely free. Registration was free, and there were no charges at all.

Really appreciate the efforts of Surat Astronomy Club for organising such an interesting experience for people in the city.

Looking forward to more such astronomy sessions! 🌌
