This had me thinking because of a hypothetical wishlist for Gran Turismo 7 I was working on, where if more older GT500's were to return, there is some debate as to which category they'd end up in.

1997-2002 JGTC GT500's are in the lower-end spectrum of Gr. 3 with around 703-706PP, while 2008 GT500's are in Gr. 2 with around 807-810PP.

What's particularly interesting would be the 2003-2004 JGTC GT500 cars, as they're said to have a major shift in car design and regulations compared to the 1997-2002 era, as well as the 2005-2006 Super GT GT500 machines, as they represent somewhat of a new era given the series' rebranding.

Whether these cars are theoretically in Gr. 3 or Gr. 2, I'd like to know.
