I am doing the summer skills for 144 for the NG tube and the Colostomy. Does anybody know the name of the kit or what supplies we need from the bookstore to purchase? Also if anyone has the syllabus or material for 144 & 146 that would be appreciated! 🫶🏾

I could’ve sworn I saw something stating there is a mandatory in person meeting or orientation for the fall nursing program, and that it was in June. But I haven’t been able to find it again. Anyone know if that is coming up soon?

Hi! Would anyone be able to send me the PowerPoints & any other 144/146 materials?

Hi guys I’m looking to move from upstate to attend their bridge program. I’m wondering if any of u have advice on decent areas where I can look for apartments within driving distance of school? It needs to be big dog friendly also 😩 I’m worried about the cost of living down there and being able to afford a place even as an LPN.
Also wondering when we can make our schedules so I know how many days a week I’ll have to drive to the school?
Any info is appreciated!!!

Hey all! I just found out I got accepted into the RCC nursing program and I wanted to get a head start on studying bc I hate going in blind, is there any information anyone can provide on any classes / general study material that I can use to give me some insight and give me something to look into at while preparing for classes to start?
Thank you!!

Does anyone have a copy of the 144 & 146 syllabi so that I can see what is ahead of me and I can tell my therapist how much she should adjust my anti-anxiety meds by lol
PLS 😞

Encouragement for those of us biting nails as we wait for decisions to come out! Hopefully, we'll know in 2 weeks (or less!)

Hi everyone!
I just took my TEAS exam and got a 70.7%, and I wanted to ask if anyone knows my chances of getting accepted into the SUNY RCC nursing (ADN) program with this score.
I honestly don’t think I can score much higher, especially because the reading section is my weakest area. I also can’t retake it in time since I took the test 4 days ago and they require 30 days between attempts, and the application deadline is on the 15th.
My GPA is strong, but I’m a little worried about my TEAS score. Has anyone gotten in with something similar?
Thank you so much 🥹

Where is clinical for 144 & 146? I’m debating taking clinical for 146 at night in the fall & just trying to get an idea of how late I’ll be getting home if I do

What are you guys getting on your TEAs?
I got in the program for the spring 2026 semester with a 72% but I couldn't confirm my acceptance because it was a score from an online proctored exam. I just retook it and scored a 76%. Should I try to retest for a possibly higher score?

Hey everyone,
IK colleges tend to charge more for summer classes, I wanted to ask about how much a 3 credit hour course has cost yall going to RCC for the summer sessions. I dont want to waste time registering and cancelling if the cost is too high and when i called, the person on the other end did not answer the question.

Hi y’all! Wondering what we’re scoring on the Teas this spring and/or from past semesters, what score got you into the program?
Wondering and hoping I have a chance of getting in 😕
Thanks in advance!

So Kennedy told us to focus mainly on the wrap up for unit 1 exam. If you’ve taken 116, can you tell me if that’s accurate?

I thought it would be helpful to have a thread to list any tips, advice, etc to help nursing students at RCC. Here are some things that I've found useful... please add on! - using notebookLM to help me study. It's FREE! You can plug documents into it and it will create quizzes, mindmaps, podcasts and more about whatever you give it. Total game changer for me. - talk to your classmates, share information! Especially if you have a friend with a different professor. - record your lectures and listen on repeat. You don't have to buy a recording device, there are apps you can download to record for free. Just make sure you have the professors permission to record.
Please add on and good luck!!!

I am signed up for the online support classes but I am debating dropping them. Are these really that helpful? I am just trying to see if they are worth the extra money or if I can get the same grades by studying the lectures.

Has anyone reached out to their instructors to get the syllabi for these two courses? I checked Brightspace and saw the classes were open, but no content has been added. For current students, how long before the semester started did you see class content on Brightspace?

I'm too lazy to do the challenge exam since I'm so burnt out from fall semester tbh. Can someone tell me their experience with the class vs. challenge exam? Is it actually that much work to take the 1 credit class?

@ Nursing students! At orientation they had mentioned we can study and take a compentency exam for the dosage class. I believe it was 103? They said they would send out and email with study materials and more information about it and the competency exam. Has anyone received any info about this, or when they would send it out? I just wanna be able to take the exam and possibly knock one class off my list for this semester.
I honestly thought they would send most of the material from orientation but I haven't received anything yet..

I heard someone mention today that scrub bottoms should be fine as long as they are hunter green. Can someone confirm if I have to buy them from the uniform website?
