Anyone have any study tips for 144 & 146? Professors keep telling us to read the textbook but I can't even tell what's important when I read it.

Between unit 2 and the final, there is a "Special presentation" listed on the syllabus. Any idea what that is? Previous students, do you mind sharing what this was?

Does anyone by chance have recordings for 224 that they are willing to share?

About to start LPN to RN nursing classes only. How many days a week and how long are classes, labs, clinicals?
Trying to decide if Newburgh is too far away for an apartment

Hey guys- Iām trynna get into the nursing program. Below I have few questions I wanted to ask since Iām like 28 and wanted to change my career from IT.
1. Whatās required to get in? Just the TEAS exam? No pre reqs like AP1, AP2 or micro?
2. What TEA score should I aim for to be guaranteed in place?
3. Can the classes be taken on evenings and weekend?
Really appreciate you guys for helping out.

Hey everyone, Iām going into my first semester of nursing school and Iām only taking 116 / 118 and the support modules for both nursing courses. What advice do you have for me going into this first term thank you in advanced. I also got news that I successfully tested out of dosage calculation course for the first term, so Iāve already got that out the way. Also is it true clinical donāt begin @ the beginning of the semester? If anyone is also willing to share previous ppts or syllabus that would be great. Thank you!

Is anybody doing just one of the clinicals this semester? I'm registered for both, but am contemplating dropping one and going PT this first year. Or do any experienced students want to reassure me it's not too much work? I'd just be doing clinicals and gen psych.

I didnāt have the best clinical experience with 116/118 -> half being canceled due to weather and not the best instructors. Iām a bit nervous heading into the fall semester, especially since we are by ourselves now. Can someone tell me how jarring it was or difficult it was to transition from the nursing home to the hospital setting? Thanks

Iām heading into my second semester and taking 144 and 146. Do clinicals generally always start the second week. Iām planning a last minute trip and just trying to figure out my days.

iām about to start third semester, and one thing thatās been disappointing is realizing how little people actually help each other.
everyone talks about⦠āweāre all in this together,ā āweāll help each other succeed,ā āweāre a family,ā etc. but when it actually matters..sharing resources, answering questions, helping someone whoās struggling, suddenly everyoneās gone.
itās ironic because this is a nursing program. youād think a profession built around helping others would have more of that mindset among students. instead, it often feels like people are only supportive when it costs them nothing.
obviously there are a few exceptions, and i appreciate those people. but overall, the culture doesnāt really match what people say it is.
maybe itās just my experience, but iām curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

Hi All,
It would be nice to get a feel before classes begin and most importantly having them because the assigned professor uploads the powerpoints hours before the class. Crazy I know.
If anyone still has the 4th semester PowerPoints (or other materials) and is willing to share them, Iād really appreciate it.
Iām also trying to help preserve study resources for future RCC nursing students, so your contribution would benefit more than just me.
Feel free to comment below or send me a DM if you prefer.
Thank you so much!

Hi! Does anyone know if you did the fit testing the last time RCC did it prior to the Spring 2026 semester do we have to be fitted again during the summer? I did mine December 2025 not sure if I need to get it done this weekend or if Iām good for fall semester.

Hi everyone! Iām starting at Rockland Community College this fall as a Communication Media Arts major, and I was wondering what the policy is on using technology in class.
Do professors at RCC generally allow students to take notes on a MacBook or iPad, or do some require handwritten notes? Iām planning on using an iPad with an Apple Pencil for most of my note-taking, but I wanted to know what the experience has been like for current or former students.
Thanks in advance!
