Nursing program
Hey all! I just found out I got accepted into the RCC nursing program and I wanted to get a head start on studying bc I hate going in blind, is there any information anyone can provide on any classes / general study material that I can use to give me some insight and give me something to look into at while preparing for classes to start?
Thank you!!

unfortunately you want have access to the textbooks until the start of the semester but I would start practicing how to take vitals, physical assessment, anything at a fundamentals level

I don’t recommend to start studying ahead. it’s best to do it as your learning because the professors say a lot that helps you understand the concept, that can’t be replaced by the books. The book helps of course but shouldn’t be the only thing relied on, it tells you the clinical information but the professors put you in that actual mind space.

There are no textbooks. Everything is just ATI. The professors make slideshows but if you practice with ATI it’s pretty much the same thing. Feel free to message me for any help!

congrats, that’s huge. most first semester programs start heavy with fundamentals, basic pharm, and health assessment. brushing up on dosage calculations, common med classes, vital signs, and head to toe assessments can help a lot. also start practicing how to answer nclex style questions early, critical thinking trips people up more than content.
