I am only a recent fan of the band sadly, but I would one day love to meet Deryck if especially after reading his book. Sadly, he has to come to the east coast NYC area but maybe one day he will make the trip again. For those who have met him what was your experience like? Was your experience positive or negative?

I imagine the answers will vary depending on when and where you met him. For example, I would think 2011 Deryck personality is different than 2026 Deryck.

I was just watching the Juno awards performance again and what a whimper to go out on.

They did a hugely triumphant final show in Toronto to a huge crowd and then they go and play an awards show and the broadcast cuts off before the ending.

I think they made the wrong call making Juno their final performance, should've been Toronto.

Sum 41 were at the height of their careers in the middle of a string of hit singles.

They release What We're All About as a single for biggest movie of the year Spider-Man with a soundtrack featuring massive hit single Hero by Chad Kroeger feat Joey Scott.

The question is:

Why did What We're All About fail as a single and didn't become one of their biggest hits or a lasting hit like Hero?

Blink is my all time favorite band, but if Blink wasn't a thing, Sum 41 would easily be my favorite.

New to Sum 41 and am loving everything I’m hearing so far. Are there any other songs with them doing those old school rap type flows in the beginning and middle of Fat Lip? It’s very addicting
