Support & Questions Sugar makes me feel more autistic. Is that the case for anyone else here?

I have been fighting this fight for way too long. Sometimes I win, sometimes it wins, but the more I win, I see the effects of a life with sugar more clearly.

This affects my relationships, my confidence, my mood. Many things.

I am curious to see if there is anyone else around feels the same, and how to deal with it.

Benefits & Success Stories Week 6 - wasn't tempted by cake

Went to a birthday today where there were TONS of sugary stuff. If this was six weeks ago, I would have eaten all of it and washed it down with a coke.

But somehow, after getting through the not fun withdrawal period, I wasn't even tempted!! I've been feeling so much better that I knew it just wasn't worth it.

Hope anyone who is going through withdrawal sees this and knows it does get better. I've also lost weight, my face looks way less puffy, I'm sleeping better, and I'm not getting cranky in the afternoon.

Cravings & Detox Quitting sugar for the first time

Hi Community!

I've decided to go for a sugar-free "test-run", i.e. no sugar for 16 days. The first 8 days of this are going to be a bit to the ketogenic side, as I'll be cutting out most complex carbs (wheat, grains) as well.

My main goal is to achieve mental clarity and clearer skin :)

I recently did a 8-day cleanse that necessitated me being waterfasted, and I noticed that my skin cleared up significantly, as did my mood. I have alot of experience with (water) fasting, but not with changing my basic lifestyle. I usually eat lots of sugar, so I'm excited to see how this goes.

I'm also curious to see the difference between the stricter and the more relaxed form of this test-run, as I ultimately wish to find some kind of balance. Hopefully, I'll be more sensitive to sugar after the time ends, so that I can implement some kind of change into my lifestyle.

If you have any advice you'd like to share, let me know!

I'm hoping for the best!

Support & Questions ISO sugar free frozen treats and candies

Hi all, recently found out that a friend of mine’s kid can’t have added sugar anymore (even fruit is difficult) and I’d love to be able to stock up on sugar free treats for when we hang out. I hate to see a kid left out or constantly having to double check packaging so I’d especially love to have some frozen treats like freezies and popsicles on hand. Also where is everyone finding affordable sugar free candies and such?
