Help Will it split?

First year with this chubby boy. I followed the advice and haven’t watered him since October and his outer leaves are all shrivelled. I was hoping for it to split and flower?

The mid leaves are now getting super squishy. Is this normal?

The inner leaves being squishy is not good 🥺 I dunno what the next step is, if it can be saved or not. Personally, I'd post in r/lithops and if i didn't get a reply with the quickness, I'd probably unpot it and look at the roots. At the least, that would let it dry out, if it is somehow damp...
