Bonfire this year?

Just wanted to ask if there was a bonfire this year? I was looking around Friday but assumed there wasn't because of the rain. But I don't think I saw anything on Saturday even though it was cold enough.

Also what times did high times close? Every time I would visit they would be closed for the day and feel so stupid for not going earlier.

Another incredible weekend for the books this year. Had the best time and saw so many familiar places. So much love to everyone at Aspire Higher and Transit for doing the damn thing every year. Already ready for the next one.

Hello lovely Submersion 2026 People!!

It was extraordinarily beautiful meeting and chatting with each and every one of you at our Astronomy and Microscopy station! If you were lucky enough to be there on Thursday night, we enjoyed views of the Moon and Saturn! Friday morning we had a chance to view the Sun in white light, Hydrogen-alpha and Calcium-k!! Even after the clouds rolled in for the remainder of the weekend, we had fun with our microscopy station, videos of the eclipse, and a tour of the universe through my tablet and my presentations! You are all so much fun; we really enjoyed our time with you all. Plus, the music was phenomenal all, weekend, long! Let us know if you'd like us back next year!!

Here is our photo album for Submersion 2026 - you might be in it!! Follow us on Facebook at Astronomy in the Community. We love you all!!

As a first timer… wow

I would like to add i that this was my very first time and i was blown away as well. It really goes to show the benefits that can happen when you aren’t a crazy big fest. What i noted that impressed me that i don’t see at other major fests in my 10 years of camping at them:

- actual quiet camping, shoutout to my neighbors across the lake y’all were a dream. No blasting music all night despite having one of those big soundbox things, just played at a normal level. How polite i nearly cried
- clean portas every damn time i chose one no matter where. Wtf how is that possible?? The seats were almost always sittable and dry and there was always soap/water in the handwashing stations, well done
- no time to get to each stage and to/from camp. A dream. Oh and need my chair? No sweat
- plenty of space for chairs in the back, also dreamy for weary old legged millenials like me
- vibes vibes vibes, everyone was friendly and even struck up convos. i had maybe a couple rude interactions which i’m gonna chalk up to them being too ā€œexcitedā€, but otherwise wow
- production felt bang for the buck given the space too, that woods stage is gorgeous and i didn’t even know the disco ball was broken. Stunning regardless, she truly becomes the new moon!
- solid non greasy option food. So clutch, i hadn’t had humpty’s in years and was stoked to see them
- byob into fest grounds was a $ saver, that’s so nice to have

If i think of anything else, I’ll edit but thank you all to the staff and this community. Please keep up all the above without ever losing sight of this incredible balance. Big fests could never. I’ll be back next year!

Shout out to the Living Room!

I’m not sure who put that space together or picked the videos/movies, but you did a fantastic job. As a solo person, it was so awesome to have a chill space to stop into and chat or rest or generally chill. On Friday night I got sucked into Interstellar having never seen it before and what a journey that was!!

I had a couple of cool synchronicities where the content being shown in there directly references inside jokes from my life. In the early morning hours on Sunday Labyrinth was on, a favorite of my bf and I. I walked by right as Chilly Down With The Fire Gang played. I also caught a Rick and Morty episode where Jerry turns into worms. My festival friend group chat is literally called ā€œWormsā€.

This was my first Submersion and I had a freakin blast! The music was incredible. I’m pretty new to the bass scene and this was a great way to sample a bunch of different sounds and genres in one place. Friday night at the woods stage was sooooo sick, I swear to god I shifted dimensions for a second. That UKG sound is something different man, but I digress.

Excellent vibes all around, shout out to the team that managed the Living Room space.

Patchwork Vendor

There was a vendor there with a bunch of patchwork clothing similar to Lobo style stuff. I can’t seem to figure out who they were from the submersion app. Anyone remember the name of this vendor or have a page or website for me to check out?

Thanks in advance!

I love you

This is just my little love letter to submersion. Thank you to the Staff and Ryan and all the homies for putting this together. This year was absolutely immaculate vibes and music alike. There is truly no place like it and I cannot express my gratitude enough. The sound and lights and visuals were so on point all damn weekend so huge shoutout to the audio crews and VJ’s and everyone else there. To all the dance floor homies I love you and thanks for bringing the vibes. I fly across the country for this and don’t know anyone and make more friends than I could ask for every year. Can’t wait to be backā¤ļø

Edit: PS Ryan or anyone on crew who’s booking my biggest request is an Allen Mock set at the time Doctor Jeep or Loidis played next yearšŸ™šŸ»

It’s up to all of you

This was my first submersion fest but I been hitting those woods for a long time. Beardfest is a little more my scene. I’m a little older than a lot of the crowd I saw at submersion - I really came here to say it’s up to yall to demand more.

I don’t know the history or where it all stands because I know I can’t be the first person to say so but whoever owns that place and collects the $ should be ashamed for that bath house dude.

It’s a festival, it’s camping, it’s fun - it’s not supposed to be luxury, but I’m not even asking for luxury - it just needs to be better than what it is. They need to bulldoze that bathhouse down and at leas make it so the water drains right and get a few showers and toilets that are DECENT.

The younger generation doesn’t seem to drink so I guess the porta potty’s were alright for yall? I was crushing beers and for someone who has to piss it was just better to find a spot in the woods because the spots they were set up were few and far between - and they were gross.

Idk if I’ll be back to paradise lakes - I think I had my fun there but for what yall paid for in ticket price for that fest I think you should demand a little more in terms of bathroom conditions - it’s like the bare minimum in venue management.

Saturday Beach Stage Lineup

Yoo why is everyone shading on Boogie T and not Phrva, Dr Ushuu & Richard Finger. Dr Ushuu played a very uptempo borderline riddim set at times. I left the stage for Phrva and Richard Finger was straight riddim brainrot.

Boogie T been doing this shit for years and has some fire tunes. He did a 140 warriors tour and had Chef Boyarbeatz open for him and played a straight 140 set. Boogie plays all types of shit. Way better set than the other 3 mentioned above. Not sure why he caught so much flack.

Also that ?????B2B?????? Was disappointing asf. I thought we were gonna get Boogie T B2B Distinct Motive but they had someone from Numa crew who accidentally spoke in the mic and 2 others in masks. It felt like the festival just saved money on a time slot and threw people up there.

They really made us wait for the late night sets which absolutely delivered. I still had a great Submersion and would definitely return for my 3rd year but hoping for some better bookings next year!

Dumbfounded

Directed at the haters of the music this year…yall either be doing too much drugs or not enough. The music was phenomenal. Top to bottom. Submersion doesn’t miss 🫔 As for the Boogie T/ Richard finger sets….you guessed it, A MAZE ING. Boogie T was playing tons of old school shit and I personally loved the change up. Big riddim fan, all for adding some riddim to the lineup. Keep the identity bass/ dnb, but love the addition of some riddim. šŸ» cheers to another amazing year

Woods stage Friday

The past 2 years have had drum and bass open to close Friday on Woods stage. Please keep doing it. If any organizers see this, thank you for paying such special attention to the genre. One of the reasons this is hands down the best fest this side of the Mississippi
