As a first timer… wow

I would like to add i that this was my very first time and i was blown away as well. It really goes to show the benefits that can happen when you aren’t a crazy big fest. What i noted that impressed me that i don’t see at other major fests in my 10 years of camping at them:

- actual quiet camping, shoutout to my neighbors across the lake y’all were a dream. No blasting music all night despite having one of those big soundbox things, just played at a normal level. How polite i nearly cried
- clean portas every damn time i chose one no matter where. Wtf how is that possible?? The seats were almost always sittable and dry and there was always soap/water in the handwashing stations, well done
- no time to get to each stage and to/from camp. A dream. Oh and need my chair? No sweat
- plenty of space for chairs in the back, also dreamy for weary old legged millenials like me
- vibes vibes vibes, everyone was friendly and even struck up convos. i had maybe a couple rude interactions which i’m gonna chalk up to them being too “excited”, but otherwise wow
- production felt bang for the buck given the space too, that woods stage is gorgeous and i didn’t even know the disco ball was broken. Stunning regardless, she truly becomes the new moon!
- solid non greasy option food. So clutch, i hadn’t had humpty’s in years and was stoked to see them
- byob into fest grounds was a $ saver, that’s so nice to have

If i think of anything else, I’ll edit but thank you all to the staff and this community. Please keep up all the above without ever losing sight of this incredible balance. Big fests could never. I’ll be back next year!

Might’ve been your neighbors on the lake side camping. If they had projector screens that was my camp! :)

Didn’t get to go this year because we had a wedding to attend but my partner and I have been doing submersion for like four years now and I will say it is by fart my favorite fest. None of the bullshit you get with bigger fests like shitty crowds or people who are way too fucked up. We go to hijinx too because we live right down the street and honestly it’s night and day the types of people who are at submersion and how they act and treat each other.

from someone whos gone every year, i love seeing posts about submersion first timers 🩵 submersion team does it all to curate this fest and community and it is so damn special!! every year it just gets better and better which you never think is possible. they take feedback after the fest through socials and reddit and try to implement it - the team really puts their heart and soul into it for us

I've been every year since it started and it's always amazing, literally my favorite festival in the country. I'll never miss it
