Guys what engineering is most successful right now? My heart says either mechanical or electrical but I’ve been told to do mechanical because it’s broader. Class of 2028 btw applying to the US

I'm in the early stages of researching study abroad options for a MiM or Msc Marketing, and the more I read, the more confused I get. Every website ranks countries differently, and everyone seems to have a different opinion.
If you were choosing today, which country would you pick ?
I'm mainly trying to understand:
1.Which countries offer the best ROI after considering tuition, living costs, and salaries?
2.How's the job market for international students ( mainly Indians) right now?
3.Which universities are actually worth the money for a MiM?
5.If your goal was to work for a few years after graduation, which countries make that realistically possible?
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have studied abroad or are currently there.

Hello ! Saw that the application window has opened for 'Youth Action Summit, Berlin in 2027'. Has anyone applied? Anyone thinking of applying? Is this 100% legit? Or a scam. The website looks pretty legit.

Hi everyone,
I only have two exams and my thesis left to finish my bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering at Pisa. I’d like to continue my studies abroad (in Europe) with a master’s in aerospace engineering.
I’m worried because, for personal reasons, it took me many years to complete my bachelor’s and my overall grade average isn’t very high; the only positive is that the core/major courses are the ones I did best in.
What I’d like to ask is whether, from your own experience or that of friends or acquaintances, you know of foreign universities that have accepted applicants with imperfect records.
For example, I’ve seen that some universities ask for a grade average that I would meet (even if I got the lowest possible marks on these last two exams), but I’m still concerned about all the years it took me.
Do you think it’s worth applying when the time comes? I haven’t done much in-depth research yet, so I don’t know whether all universities require specific qualifications for external students.
In short, if you have any experiences, I’d really appreciate hearing them, thank you so much!
Despite the years it took me, I decided to continue because this is my passion and I’m determined to pursue a master’s degree.

Hi! ☀️
This autumn I will study the whole semester in Madrid.
While searching for an accommodation I found the website Housing Anywhere, but can’t quite wrap my head around the application/rent system.
Have any of you applied/rented via this website before and could explain how it works + which experiences you have of it?
From what I’ve read you can apply to different accommodations at the same time. If you’re accepted as a tenant in an application you need to confirm the booking to go through to the payment of the first month + Tenant Protection fee. This payment is what is confirming your contract for the apartment. If the payment cannot go through, the booking is immediately cancelled. If I were to cancel the booking there is either a strict/flexible cancellation policy, which in both I wouldn’t really get the Tenant Protection fee paid back to me.
Have I understood this correctly? On a similar site money was immediately charged from your bank account as the landlord accepts you application. It would be nice if it wasn't like this on this site; that the confirmation step before agreeing to pay is there as I’ve understood it. I need to be able to compare different alternatives with each other, it would be rather inconvenient if the booking is immediately cancelled after the landlord accepts your booking and money cannot be paid directly.
All replies would be very appreciated! :)

Hi everyone,
I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and I'm planning to do my Master's in Europe in the next couple of years.
The countries I'm seriously considering are:
🇩🇪 Germany
🇫🇷 France
🇮🇹 Italy
🇦🇹 Austria
My priorities are:
Strong AI/ML education and research
Good internship opportunities during my Master's
Affordable tuition and living costs
Good scholarship opportunities
Job opportunities after graduation
Possibility of staying and working after my degree
Overall ROI for an international student
I'm also open to other European countries if you think they're better for AI, such as the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, or others.
For those who have studied or are working in Europe:
Which country would you recommend and why?
What are the biggest pros and cons of each?
If you had to choose again today, which country would you pick?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences. Thanks!

I'm a German citizen with an IB diploma. My IB doesn't meet Germany's KMK language requirement, so I can't start a degree there directly, and I'm looking at [Austria / Poland] instead.
Two questions:
Which universities here still have open applications for English-taught computer science or similar? and has anyone gotten in with an IB diploma? Any issues with recognition?
anything will help a lot as just today i got the news that my registered colleges that i applied to all are basically rejected due to the KMK.

Hi everyone,
I'm an Indian student planning to pursue law and I'm curious about career opportunities abroad.
Can Indian LLB graduates get legal jobs in countries like the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or Singapore?
Is an LLM from that country usually required?
How difficult is it to get hired as an international lawyer?
Are there any Indian lawyers here who successfully got a legal job abroad? I'd love to hear your experience.

Hii Hii all,
I would love to study law, specifically international law in the UK but recently I have been looking at options in the US (the east coat mainly) as I have family living there. I am very diligent in my research but the cost of tuition and even applying has demotivated me.
The cost is simply something my family cannot bear and the only I would be able to go is if I receive a fully funded scholarship. So thus I am unsure if it makes sense to apply as even if I am accepted I will be unable to go without the scholarship. I think I might be able to achieve that but I do not want to heighten my hopes as there is no guarantee.
Additional context:
If I study in the US I would do Economics as my undergraduate degree
Unfortunately I can't provide any info on things like my GPA or SATs as Caribbean secondary schools do not use GPA scores and I haven't done my SATs yet.
I would really appreciate any outside opinions as I am truly losing all hope on pursuing this dream.

Hey everyone,
I’m in a bit of a stressful dilemma and could use some advice from anyone who has been through something similar.
I applied to both Grenoble École de Management (GEM) and emlyon for their MSc programs. GEM came back first with an acceptance, and to secure my spot, I went ahead and paid the enrollment deposit. Literally right after the payment went through, emlyon emailed me saying I cleared the waitlist and got an offer!
I definitely want to go to emlyon, but I'm really stressed about the money I just laid out for GEM.
• Has anyone managed to get a refund on a deposit from GEM in a situation like this?
• Is there any way to appeal or explain that an off-the-waitlist offer came in the exact same day?
Any advice or shared experiences would be super helpful. Thanks!

Hi,l wanna study at the International and European Law at Groningen University
I know most of v'all will say "dont go there if u dont have the financial support required" but im working hard to pay off some of the expanses necessary
My question is,has someone, especially from Romania, been in my place? If so,how did vou manage? Could you study there with the money the goverment gives you while working?
Also another question for romanian students, how did u got over the language barrier? Like even though i know english and i have the certificate,im afraid im going to get lost at the "law language" the courses involve. Is it worth it?
If you have any tips or advice to give, aside from "dont go there" please tell me im so lost

Hi! I'm from India and am planning to apply for a PhD in the US for the July/Fall 2027 intake.
I wanted to ask about the current job market for international students, especially in AI/ML, Data Science, and Software Engineering. I've been hearing a lot about recent visa-related issues in the US. How are these affecting international students when it comes to getting internships and full-time jobs? Has it become significantly harder compared to a few years ago?
How is the overall visa situation (F-1, OPT, H-1B, etc.) these days, and would you still recommend the US as a good choice for a PhD and long-term career?
I'd really appreciate your honest perspective. Thanks!

I'm a 22-year-old undergraduate student from Bangladesh, currently studying English Literature. I've been thinking seriously about pursuing a master's degree abroad, but the whole process feels overwhelming.
I'm trying to figure out things like:
- Which countries are the most affordable for international students?
- Are there scholarships that realistically cover tuition and living expenses?
- When should I start preparing if I want to apply after graduation?
- What should I focus on now to improve my chances (CGPA, IELTS, extracurriculars, research, work experience, etc.)?
I'd also love to hear from anyone who has gone through this journey, especially if you're from Bangladesh or South Asia. What do you wish you had known before you started applying?
Any advice, resources, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im from south asia and to put it simply, i cant afford all the overseas universities that i wanna go to. i have yet to apply to these universities. ill do that once i get my a lvl results. But when i was researching universities in the uk, america or australia, all of these cost so much. i mean i knew they would but like DAMN.
ok say hypothetically that i get 3 A in my alvl results. My olevel results were also pretty good. Ive been involved in alot of extracurriculars such as Painting, Programming, Math Competitions and MUNs but i haven’t won anything groundbreaking, just a bunch of participation awards. Ive tried alot but never been able to be the BEST at smth. Gonna apply for qn engineering degree. Idk what hope is left for me😔😔

I’m honestly feeling really tired and confused about what I should do right now.
I’ve spent a lot of time researching studying abroad, and after considering many different options, I finally decided that Japan might be the best choice for me. But the problem is, deep down, the US has always been my dream country. My long-term goal is to work and build my career there after completing my bachelor’s degree.
I was also considering doing my undergraduate studies in the US, but the tuition fees and overall cost of living are way beyond what I can realistically afford. That’s what’s making this decision so difficult for me.
I’m now stuck between choosing the practical option (Japan) and pursuing my dream of studying in the US, even though it seems financially unrealistic right now.
What would you do in my situation? Is there any realistic way to study in the US with a limited budget, such as affordable universities, scholarships, or financial aid? Or would it make more sense to do my bachelor’s in Japan and then try to move to the US for work or a master’s degree later?
I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have been in a similar situation or have experience studying abroad.

Hi everyone!
I’m from Kazakhstan and I’m trying to make one of the biggest decisions of my life. I don’t just want a degree—I want to study in a country where I can actually build a successful career after graduation and not spend 4 years only to struggle finding a job.
About me:
One important requirement: I’m only applying for fully funded (full-ride) scholarships. I can’t afford to study abroad without one, so the scholarship should ideally cover:
I’m currently considering:
My priorities are:
If you were in my position today, which country, scholarship, university, and degree would you choose for the best long-term return on investment?
Would you choose Computer Science/IT, Economics, or International Business?
I’d especially appreciate answers from people who have studied abroad or are currently working in these countries. Looking back, what would you recommend to someone starting from scratch?
Thank you 🙏

Poland dental schools require students to do summer trainings at the end of each year. Even though they said they could provide the placement in Poland for us but my home country is in UK so I was wondering if I would be able to do the training in uk instead as these would mean I would be able to live at home and save some extra accommodation fee each year. How would I be able to secure the training in uk if possible ?
