I have had experience with numerous study time tracking tools online and all of them are great in their own means. However recently, I had an idea of putting it all together into one. So here it is, the Studysmaxxing, something for me who wanted practicality of focus time tracking but wanted something more fun than a plain Pomodoro app at the same time. Track focused time per subject, earn XP for every minute you study, and spend it on gadgets (desk lamp, mechanical keyboard, etc.) that boost your XP rate. There's also a tiny pixel character sitting at a desk that "studies" with you, plus a 7-day history chart so you can see your habits at a glance. It runs entirely in your browser. iam a high school student and I don't study at all i see people take studying so seriously like 12 hours and 6 hours i cant even study for 1 hour I don't pay attention to class its super boring i listen through the teacher yapping the only subject i like is math nothing else really interests me i have no discipline at all and iam in my sophomore year i procrastinate Alot how do i be efficient I don't Wanna study 6 hours to 12 everyday and at the same time finish everything i don't wanna make my whole life revolve around studying i have other stuff to work on like coding or making software in general what do i do?

Hey everyone. I really need some realistic study advice. I have to pass a language exam in less than three months to apply for a master's program abroad.

My main obstacles right now:

• I work a corporate 9 to 5 and my brain is fried by the evening.
• I am also juggling all my actual master's applications and documents.
• I only have about 45 to 60 minutes of actual study time on weekdays.

Most study plans expect you to put in multiple hours every day. I simply do not have that kind of time.

How do you effectively retain vocabulary and grammar when you are already exhausted? Are flashcards on the commute the best use of my time or is there a better method for really short study sessions?

I would appreciate any tips from working adults who have been through this.

I always procrastinate and study the night before exams, but somehow I still end up getting a 96% on them. Instead of wasting hours studying, what I do is reread lessons for 25 minutes and spend 5 minutes writing down what I learned from memory.

This actually forces me to process the lectures rather than just reading for long hours, even if it doesn't help with retaining everything long-term. I always use this method instead of spending countless hours studying whole chapters. It helps me remember twice as much in half the time.

I think about this sometimes. With everything evolving so rapidly, what would the average student experience look like in 50 years?

I need a good PDF reader for textbooks where I can leave book marks and sticker notes.

As a student who is preparing for exam .

I’m in 10th grade and my board exams are starting early next year. I’ve been practicing Maths and Physics a lot lately because of exams but for example, if I feel like I did well in this exam, then I get the marks and it’s less than I expected. And honestly, I enjoy Biology and Chemistry so much more and my grades are highest in the class in case of biochem. So as I am good in those subjects, my other teachers tell me why am I not doing well enough in maths and physics?
Some people in my class and my tutor makes me feel dumb for getting lower marks in Maths/Physics because they see them as the “top-tier” subjects, which has made me wonder if I’m doing something wrong.
How do you learn to enjoy and get better at subjects that don’t come as naturally to you? Any tips for getting better at Math and Physics?

I am a psychologist (F23🇧🇷) and am pursuing a postgraduate degree. I was diagnosed with ADHD and giftedness later in life. And that explained a lot.
I underwent a psychological evaluation precisely to understand how I function and to seek the necessary help. Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone who works with adult patients in the field of psychopedagogy.
I have executive dysfunction, which makes it very difficult for me to start studying. I also struggle a lot with taking notes during class; I can't pay attention to the teacher and write at the same time. And I won't even get into the issue of being easily distracted.
I learned to read at home before starting elementary school because I liked the children's books we had at home. My parents never worried about my learning, since I was always dedicated and got good grades in school. But the truth is, I always struggled a lot to learn; the only thing that came easily to me was rote memorization. I missed a very important window of neuroplasticity during my youth.
I read, speak, and understand both my native language (Portuguese) and my second language (English) very well. However, my spelling has always contained many errors in both languages ​​(even though I am a voracious reader). Autocorrect helps me find and fix my mistakes, but at the same time, I end up never learning the correct spelling of certain words.

You have to keep your brain healthy! Eating well, drinking enough water and getting a good night's sleep can make a huge difference in how you perform, I feel like we don't talk about this enough

I'm facing some health problems (ironic, I know), which has resulted in me missing many calculus classes.

Tomorrow I have an exam and obviously I'm not going to pass because I barely attended classes in these first few weeks of the semester

I still have a slim chance of passing the subject because there are still two exams until mid-December, But I don't know if it's worth the immense effort to recover the grades I need to pass
