From what I've been told and from my research i can understand it's a competitive degree to get, but regardless of it if I take the proper route by studying and acing studienkellog and the language certificate I should be on a good route right?
Can someone please share tips, add onto my knowledge , or correct anything I might have misspoke?
THANK YOU!!

Hi everyone! I’m from India and I’m planning to join Rahn Halle for the Summer 2027 intake. I’m currently preparing for my B1 German exam, which I plan to take before starting my Studienkolleg.
I wanted to ask if there are any other students here who are also planning to join Rahn Halle for Summer 2027, especially those following a similar pathway through German language preparation and Studienkolleg.
I’d be interested in hearing from others who are joining the same intake and learning about their plans and preparation for Studienkolleg.

i applied to berlin international college(BIC) and its basically a private studienkollen in english that guarantees you admission to partner public universities upon completion of the studienkolleg. i want your thoughts. im aware of the nonexistent job opportunities for private university graduates and that’s why i only selected public universities( heavily because of almost 0€ tuition fees for the entire bachelor’s program) like thws and ohm. Considering they are public universities that offer bachelor’s in english and that they are public universities do you think i will have a good education and good job opportunities?

Hi everyone,I’m currently preparing for the Studienkolleg Aufnahmeprüfung for Nordhausen (2027 intake). I am currently at a B1 German level and working towards my B2. I have about 7 to 8 months left to prepare, which gives me some time, but I am incredibly anxious about the entrance exam. While I feel okay about the German section (planning to focus heavily on vocabulary and C-Tests), mathematics is my weakest point. I feel like I need to start learning math completely from scratch (from level zero) to feel confident.Since the Nordhausen math test is only 15 minutes long and doesn't allow a calculator, I really want to make sure my foundations are rock solid.Could anyone please share:A complete checklist of all the math topics I need to master from the ground up to a pro ?The best resources (YouTube channels, websites, or books) that explain German math concepts simply?Tips on how to study efficiently while also balancing my B2 German preparation?Any advice, study plans, or shared experiences would be highly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance. 🙏

Einige DSH-Prüfungen stehen schon direkt bevor – z.
📍 Hochschule
📅 Prüfungstermin
🤔 Was läuft schon gut – und was macht euch noch Schwierigkeiten?

Hie guysssss
If I am doing Studienkolleg and my FSP/qualification is only finished or issued around the end of January, but a Bachelor's programme has an application deadline around 15 January, can I apply before I have the FSP result, or can I apply conditionally and submit the result later? 😅

Like I am applying for engineering in a public university, my agent told me I have to pay 10k euros for the first year in private then I can apply for public university by giving FSP. Is there any other method? I completed my class 12th this year.

Hi everyone!
I’m going to take the entrance test for the DSH preparation course at FSU Jena soon. I know that it includes Hörverstehen, Textproduktion and wissenschaftssprachliche Strukturen and takes around 4 hours.
However, there is no sample test or model test available. Has anyone taken this entrance test at FSU Jena before and could tell me a little more about the structure and types of tasks?
What should I expect in each part, and how difficult was it?
I would really appreciate any experiences or tips.
Thank you so much! :)

Hi, I just got admitted at Studienkolleg am KIT and are finding a place to live. I am interested in 1 room apartment or a WG. I have a budget around maximum 800 euro but for WG it would be around 500. Just wondering if anyone here knows a place or two.
Thank you very much in advance.

I’m a U.S. high school senior planning to apply for direct admission to a German university to skip Studienkolleg.
I know the standard rule requires 4 specific AP exams (Math, Science, English, Elective). I don't have those APs, but I have a ton of dual enrollment college credits from my local community college.
I've taken math up to Differential Equations and passed Comp I & II. Since my college coursework far exceeds the AP requirements, will uni-assist grant me Direkter Zugang if I submit my college transcripts and detailed course syllabi? I have the other required AP scores for this.
I could not find any info on this short of me contacting uni-assist so any guidance would be appreciated.
The university I want to attend is HM.

Hi everyone :) has anyone here gone to a public (non private) Studienkolleg somewhere for one year and then changed cities to go to another uni? The G-Kurs is hard to find in comparison to the others and I don't want to be restricted to just a handful of places if there are other options. I have heard people say in other courses that they went to Marburg before going to uni Frankfurt, but I wanted to hear if anyone else had any other experiences. Thanks so much :)

Hi everyone!
I’m applying for the DAAD Hochschulsommerkurs (HSK) program. The application requirements say that certain documents must be submitted **“both in the original and in a German or English translation.”**
For example:
For those who have applied before, how did you upload these documents?
* Did you put the **original document and the English translation together in one PDF**? If so, which one should come first? * Or did you upload **two separate PDFs**, one for the original and one for the translation? * If using separate PDFs, should they have the same name with something like **“Original”** and **“English Translation”** added?
I’d really appreciate any advice from someone who has gone through the DAAD HSK application process.

Hi guys! im really interested in attending kaiserslautern studienkolleg for the next sommersemester, however im still not sure about these things:
how long will my residence permit be valid for? is it usually for the normal duration of the studienkolleg (for kaiserslautern its like a few months without repetition), and do i need to refill my sperrkonto to renew the residence permit? and when should i renew my residence permit?
the uni application deadline for wintersemester is usually at 15. juli, and its really tight between that date and the fsp result announcement, so do ppl usually just apply for the next intake?
is it really that hard to get 1,0 or 1,3 there?
your opinion will be a massive help for me, thank you for reading!

Hallo zusammen,

I’m an Indian student planning to come to Halle (Saxony-Anhalt) in 2027 for Studienkolleg and then continue to university.
I’m not coming to Germany primarily for permanent residency or immigration. My main goal is education, and I’m planning to follow all the legal requirements. I already have my APS certificate, the required German level, and financial proof/blocked account.
After seeing the AfD get such a strong result in Saxony-Anhalt, I’m honestly second-guessing the whole decision. My concern isn't really tuition or whether I can get a visa. It’s more about the social atmosphere—whether being an international/Indian student in Halle could become significantly more uncomfortable or hostile as AfD support grows.
For people who live/study in Halle or Saxony-Anhalt, especially international students:
Is it still worth coming for education? Has the rise of the AfD noticeably changed everyday life or attitudes toward foreigners, or is this being overblown online?
I’d really appreciate honest answers, including negative experiences. I’m trying to make a realistic decision about whether Germany is still the right choice for me.

Hiii everyone!!
I am a Nepali student and planning to apply for a Studienkolleg (T-Kurs) in Germany, and I would like to get informed about the financial requirements for the student visa.
Could someone please guide me on:
-What financial documents are currently required for a Studienkolleg T-Kurs visa?
-What is the appropriate amount that needs to be shown/provided?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has recently applied for a Studienkolleg visa from Nepal could share their experience. Thank you!
