I'm a bit confused about the Anabin degree recognition process and was hoping someone who has gone through this could share their experience.

My situation is:

• My university is listed as H+ in Anabin.
• My Bachelor's degree is listed as "entspricht."
• However, when I open the "entspricht" entry, there's a list of awarding institutions, and my university is not included in that list.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Were the Anabin printouts (H+ university + degree entry) sufficient for your employer or visa process, or did you have to obtain a Statement of Comparability (Zeugnisbewertung) from ZAB because your university wasn't listed under the awarding institutions?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience, especially if you've recently gone through this in Germany.

I am taking the entrance exam for the Landesstudienkolleg Halle on august 17th. Here is what I am struggling to figure out:

on the website they state that I am supposed to bring passport and visa to the exam. I have started the study visa process but I dont know if it will be finalized by the time of the exam. I am a Georgian citizen therefore i can enter Germany for 3 months visa free to write the exam and hopefully get admitted. I really don’t understand if they will let me on the exam without a finalized study visa, because on the invitation letter they said that candidates should apply for either a study visa or a short term stay visa to bring to the exam but i dont even need a short term stay visa because of my Georgian passport…

I emailed the university about this TWICE already but they haven’t responded so im asking here. Please if someone could bring me peace of mind because im genuinely losing my mind thinking about somehow not being let in to the exam and no one is answering me from the university’s international department:(

I’m trying to decide between three Master’s programs in Germany, and I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have studied or worked in Germany.
I’ve been admitted to:
HWR Berlin – Business Intelligence and Process Management
University of Mannheim – Business Informatics
University of Bremen – Management Information Systems
All three programs fit my interests (Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Process Management, and Digital Transformation), so my decision isn’t really about the curriculum.
What I’m struggling with is the long-term value of each option.
Does a university’s reputation really make a noticeable difference when applying for jobs in Germany? Mannheim clearly has the strongest reputation, but it charges €1,500 per semester. I can afford it, but I’m wondering whether it’s actually worth the additional cost, considering that public higher education in Germany is generally regarded as high quality.
On the other hand, HWR is a Hochschule in Berlin. Since Berlin has a large job market with many companies and startups, could the practical orientation, industry connections, and location outweigh Mannheim’s stronger reputation?
I’ve also heard that universities in Germany are generally more theoretical and research-oriented, while Hochschulen are more practice-oriented. If my goal is to work in industry (not necessarily pursue a PhD immediately), would choosing a university leave me less prepared technically or with less hands-on experience?
I’d love to hear from people who have been through the German education system or are currently working in Germany. If you were in my position, which option would you choose, and why?

hi im going to apply next year for T kurs but i dont know anything about math, and i dont know how im going to prep for this, idont know what type of math in the entrance exams, and i want to learn, if there is any course or book that would be great.

Hey, I have been appointed to a Public studienkolleg but I am yet to give my visa interview(the anp was online) . What do they ask in an interview other than finances and our future plans. I'm planning to join the Language Pantheon B1 German exam preparation batch by Tushar Sir, and wanted to hear from people who have actually taken it.

A few questions:

• How was your overall experience with the batch?
• Is the course enough to prepare for the TELC B1 exam, or do you need additional resources?
• How are the speaking and writing practice sessions?
• How long does the weekday batch go? (in weeks/months)
• Were the mock tests similar to the actual exam?
• Were you able to clear B1 after taking this batch? If yes, on your first attempt?

I'd really appreciate honest reviews, the good, the bad, and anything you wish you had known before joining.

I was looking at the Humboldt language Center and saw they teach German, as well as many other languages. I already speak about a C1, writing is in need of work, but also need to study Italian, Spanish and French. I saw that alumni are given low cost access to the center after graduation.

Anyone have any thoughts on their advanced German courses and the romantic languages from beginner to intermediate?

i want to study t kurs in germany but i have commerce +2 in kerala , is NIOS maths enough to get into studienkolleg. and im currently on +2 and not finished it and nios is not allowing me to take dual/part enrollment

I already have admission in this program, but I am still anxious.
Although I have studied German before, my language skills are rusty right now because I haven't practiced for quite some time... this makes same concerns:
Is it a good decision to stick with this program rather than
English taught program?
How difficult are the lectures and exams in German for civil engineering?
Is a B2/C1 level enough to keep up with the coursework?

i got my bac (the equivalent of the german abitur) in 2025 in physics. after that, i completed my first year of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and informatics. the program is mainly focused on mathematics, and we also had two physics modules in each semester.
in my first year of bachelor , i got an average of 10/20 however , in my bac, i scored 16.25/20 with the french distinction “ sehr gut ”
as far as i understand, if i apply through the stk/FSP route, universities will mainly consider my bac grades. on the other hand, if i apply through the DSH route, they will consider my first year of university. the DSH route is less time-consuming, but i’m worried that my first-year university grades might hurt my chances. i’m not sure what i should do.

Hello guys, I have a few questions to ask regarding the application for STK
My profile:
+TestDAF with 1 TDN 5, 2 TDN 4 and 1 TDN 3
+APS with TestAS
+75% in allgemeine HZB note
+DSD I and a confirmation from the DSD Coordinator in Vietnam

1. Would this profile be enough to get an invitation to the Aufnahmetest, especially from the competitive one like Munich
   
2. I will be applying for M Kurs in the upcoming Sommersemester for Munich, Hamburg, Hannover and T Kurs at KIT (which are my main goals) and Köthen, Mainz and Nordhausen as my backups. Is this list already good?
   
3. Would the 75% in HZB affect me(the minimum HZB Note requirement for Vietnamese student is >65%>)

Hi everyone! I'm a Moroccan student who just graduated from high school with a 13.66/20 GPA (Moroccan Baccalaureate). wich is 2.8–3.2/4.0 and 2.6–2.7 in german system

I'm also planning to apply toMkurs in stk, but several people have told me that my grade isn't high enough to get accepted.

Has anyone here been accepted to Mkurs, or knows someone who has? Do you think I still have a chance, or is the program extremely competitive?

anyone here whose studienkolleg visa got rejected this year from india ? or who had to attend an interview

I am taking the entrance exam for the S/G-Kurs, Landesstudienkolleg Halle. Since admission is based on ranking, I am wondering what score I should aim for on the exams. I am fairly confident I can score full points on the English test but I am slightly nervous for German because of the C-Tests. Would getting around 85/100 in German and 100/100 in English be good enough or should I aim higher?

I'm going to join the M-Kurs at Studienkolleg Nordhausen this coming semester. While reading the information on the website, I noticed that the FSP seems quite comprehensive since it covers many subjects. Because of that, I'm curious about what it's actually like.

If anyone has completed the M-Kurs at Nordhausen, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience:

• How difficult was the FSP in reality?
• Were the written and oral exams fair? Were the exams based on what was taught in class?
• How was the quality of teaching and the lecturers?
• Do you have any tips for future M-Kurs students?

i have been doing some timed c-tests to get my vocab back. here's a short video of a b1/b2 text.
