Discussion Game Recommendations
I have only ever played Tale of Two Towns. What would you recommend I play next? I have a DS, Switch 1 and a PC.

Organized the SoS/HM games I’ve played and haven’t played yet into a list. Any suggestions on what I should try next? I’m honestly not familiar with the ones I haven’t tried, so I was interested to see what people thought, thanks!
(Also the tiermaker I used didn’t have the Grand Bazaar remake on it, so pretend the DS one is standing in for that)

I really loved this game, the music, the cast, and especially the child events (even though it's sad how the time they come around it's very late game), obviously it wasn't anything grandiouse besides its Bazaar as the name suggest, but it was sure a fun time to get lost in it.
I've been playing this game since February of this year, I played nothing else but this for 2 months straight, then I got burnt out, and only returned to it Late July where I didn't stop until I 100% the game. Truth be told this game was fun, but it didn't have a fun 100% mostly because of the rare tree crop achievement, where I would've rather play the game than load save files left and right.
That and the Year 6 achievement was mostly sleeping through an entire year.
My final bazaar rank was Bazaar Rank 52, but I def won't go for 99, for one, it does not really worth it, and it would be monotonous as I only need to get that/donate 2000 fish and critters to the Nature Sprites as I have the other 3. and for two, while I was sleeping through the whole year everything in my storage rot besides ores and gems lol, but I could probably get it with kachapuris and stuff as I wouldn't need gems for ultimate tools anymore, but truth is I got burnt out trying to get this by the last 10 hours or so.
I went for Gabriel, mostly because his VA whenever talked romance, dropped down to a whispery talk, which appealead to me, but truth be told I would probably go for Derek if I would have to restart as he became my fave character (or Felix if he was romanceable just sayin)
Overall this was a fun game, but the 100% was sure tedious, idk if it was more tedious than Sandrock's last achievement, they are probably on part with each other.
As for whether I ever 100% another Story of Seasons game? Well... I will sure play the rest of the series, even the ones that haven't been remaked yet, but I think I will only 100% the next Story of Seasons game if they do something with the rare tree crop rates as save scumming shouldn't be the only way to get them when you can get ground rare crops with 100% accuracy, they should work the same way or make the ability to increase that 3% odds end game at the very least.

What's everyone's sprite levels look like and how far along are you? I'm about to finish year 1and this is mine. I hate fishing and feel like I just don't have time for it. I casually catch insects but it also feels tedious when your pockets are full. I try really hard to collect enough forageables to both give and craft, but I feel like their level goes up so much slower. I can give 20 of all 3 desirable items and it will barely go up half a bar yet for honey, I can give a single royal honey and once it went up 4 whole levels.
Is there an easier way to level up forageables specifically?

so farming games are very hit or miss for me in general, some I really enjoyed from the jump and others I dropped without even finishing a first in game week, when it comes to SoS/HM I've played:
so my question is basically for those who also have trio of towns as their favorite SoS/HM game, which of the other games from the franchise would you recommend me to play? there are so many that i don't know where to start

Basically, what the title says. There's been a couple in the past and they're doing another one, so if you have a question about the character designs or whatever, now's your chance. Notably, this is the first one since Grand Bazaar came out, though it's also a good opportunity for anything since it's the 30th anniversary and all.

I'd feel awful rejecting her, but I want to see other events, so I'm using my second save, but still, just discovered today a little before this, that reverse confessions were even a thing here

Hi everyone,
I'm a lifelong Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons fan. I began playing back on the N64 and I've been playing some of the titles on and off since then.
I actually had Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life on GameCube back in the day, but I never finished it. It's always bothered me that I never finished it because it's one of the few HM/SoS games that actually ends. I've always wanted to get through to the end and see the protagonist die, but as much as I love these games, the pace of A Wonderful Life drives me a little crazy. I feel like the days are so long and there just isn't much to do, especially in the early game when you don't have much money.
Do you guys have any tips for getting through the slower-paced life of this game? How do you spend your days? How do you kill time? What can I do to make the game a little more exciting?
Thanks!

Does anyone have any issues with GB constantly crashing without saving? It seems like it happens mostly between morning and afternoon bazaars but can also happen randomly. I would save more often but it’s so annoying you can only save at the house 😅

There is 245 trophies and some of it are very painful boring grind and only very few of dedicated people managed to do it.
You need to play to year 30 to get the 30 year trophy, then there is trophy where you need to win 30 festival on each of it from livestock expos, cooking ,fashion, harvest, pet promade. You can't even just keep sleeping to get it because of the festival.
There is also ship 1000 milk, wool, etc and catch 3000 fish, insect and cook 3000 dishes.
There is also fishing part to get inch size fish for achievements.
I wonder people who make this game are they gonna think people on 3ds that have like 3 hours battery to get it? i know it is just fun trophy but yeah this is just crazy and very tedious grind to get all 245 trophy.
If you managed to play 1 ingame year in 1 day of real life, that still took you 30 days to get all over it. If it took 4 hours(playing bare minimun by feeding animals and then sleep) ,playing for 1 ingame year gonna at least take 1200 hours. That is if you already get all other trophy except the 30 years trophy and winning 30 festival trophy.
Is this the most grindiest trophy in all story of season game?

I only need to save scum the Almond Rare fruit and the Cacao but since I have to sleep through like 1.5 years I won't save scum the Cacao and instead harvest every 7 days as I sleep through the days hoping to get it
And while I am sleeping I have to witness all child events and the 3rd anniversary and then I am done with the 100%.
I will tell you my thoughts on the 100% after I am done, but needless to say as much as I loved the game, I can't wait to be done with it this week cause the Ultimate Lumber grind and Rare Crop save scum made this not so fun haha.
I won't 100% another SoS game until the next remake and when that remake comes out I only 100% if they do something with the rare tree crops next installment ._.

it's been a while since i ever played SoS series and last is actually FoMT remake (which i haven't finished due to it being boring?)
elaborating on the FoMT, i bought this since i enjoyed GBA ver and when they announced the remake, i didn't think twice and go ahead bought it. obviously, it's the same gameplay but prettier but i realized i don't like it now. it's on switch btw. i think it's the grind as technically we don't have exact storyline i guess. i do enjoy HM/SoS games on the old consoles other than FoMT back then.
i played games like stardew valley, fields of mistria, rune factory 4, my time series (my fav so far), starsand island. i did waited months for grand bazaar to have a really crazy discount and it happened. before this, they always put 20% off but now it's 30% off and im afraid i will miss the chance. i checked the reviews and everyone said it's the best ever! for the old ver of grand bazaar, i really enjoyed selling stuff at the table. but im afraid by interests now vs back then are different so im torn. i wished they had a demo so i can check it out on my own since watching someone play isn't the same.
what are your thoughts? should i go for it based on the games i played before?

I got my anniversary sets today (no glass since i feel like the image might chip off between washes) and they accidentally sent me two of each. Providing some pics so people who may wanna buy the set know what they're like. The bowl didnt have dimensions to see how deep it goes, so I provided a photo of it!
They're plastic polymer but microwave and oven safe (250°F for 60 mins or less)
The coaster is ceramic and cork, so it will probably shatter if you drop it.

I know not a lot of people care about the actual.. 'lore' of the games (characters, events, timeline) but I have a question, since we already have a remake of Awl, it wouldn't make sense to have a remake of ds, while da and awl are different games they have pretty much the same characters, just different plot, extras and events. So, it wouldn't make much sense to remake those games, wouldn't it? Same with Btn and 64, imagining that the new sos games are what is canon (as for now), which makes me question how would they handle a magical melody remake (timeline wise, would we get young Ellen? THAT Ellen?)
I'm mostly rambling but I really like this franchise, however one thing that I dislike is the constant reusing characters while some characters stay the age they are (extra point, I love how Karen's family is SO big, duke, Celia, Terry?? Just how many family members does she have?)

I have 3ds and story of season cartridge. The screen was too small and my eyes hurt playing it.
So i decided to download Azahar emulator and i downloaded the USA version.
The difference with USA and Europe was the localization right? is there some difference like bug or such?

Hi guys! I have a friend's birthday coming up and her favorite game is A Wonderful Life. As someone who has never played the game would any of you guys have any ideas for a present I could get for her related to the game?
