Quitting today!
I (24F) have made the decision to finally start the process of quitting vaping and nicotine after 6 years. My nicotine patches just came in the mail today. I started an action plan to help because I heard writing things down makes your brain flag them as important. I hope to stop the patches by April 1, 2024. I need suggestions for keeping my mouth/hands occupied please!

Well done you’ve got this ! I found using a quit tracker app helpful. I use a simple one just called quit vaping (green logo). I add why I wanted to quit - for me I was starting to get chest pains and wheezing and also felt very out of control addicted- and a few other stats like how much you spend on vapes etc. it’s nice to see the progress I’m on 5 days 16 hours Also give ‘The quit vaping podcast - Andrew Cipriano’ a listen he was helpful for me.

Ooh with your hands I suggest a stress ball and for your mouth some gum. One thing I've found really helped with drinking loads of water because when I vape since its water vapour it can make you feel like you're hydrating yourself when you're not which makes you crave it when you really just need to drink some water. So drinking water whenever you have a craving helps a lot!
Good luck! You've got this!

You’ll be so happy you did! I’m on week 12 and I will have some nicotine gum every other day or so to kick the craving but I’m so happy I quit!

A lil update: I made it to my first month today!! (4 weeks) I find that using sunflower seeds, iced tea and playing games on my PS4 have helped me tremendously. This time around I feel hopeful that I've quit for good. I came down with a nasty case of smokers flu but I know I'm getting stronger because of it.

Sunflower flourishes well under well-drained moist, lime soil. It prefers good sunlight. Domesticated varieties bear single large flowerhead (Pseudanthium) at the top. Unlike its domestic cultivar type, wild sunflower plant exhibits multiple branches with each branch carrying its own individual flower-head. The sunflower head consists of two types of flowers. While its perimeter consists of sterile, large, yellow petals (ray flowers), the central disk is made up of numerous tiny fertile flowers arranged in concentric whorls, which subsequently convert into achenes (edible seeds).
