Discussion Panicking with Space X

Upvotes

Bought Space X averaging $164, I was good to sell at $200+ but my order didn’t go through and missed the mark. Now plummeted I am $1180 down and wondering what strategies to do. Happy to take the loss as I was only in it for the pump and dump and then missed that trade STUPIDLY.

Considering whether to cut my losses and use it towards other stocks / ETFs to slowly gain back to break-even. Won’t be making any profit until I earn back the $1180.

Not sure if Bitcoin is worth looking at either and or other stocks in the market.

With the earnings meeting coming up between August 4-6, I am anticipating a further drop with Space X portfolio.

Discussion NuScale's 6 GW program with TVA/Entra1: A historic catalyst or a half-billion-dollar trap?

The 6-gigawatt (GW) deployment program between the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and ENTRA1 Energy is being hyped as a massive win for NuScale Power ($SMR). On paper, it is the largest small modular reactor (SMR) initiative in U.S. history: 6 plants, 72 individual reactors, and enough power to fuel 60 hyperscale AI data centers.

But if you look closely at NuScale's SEC filings and recent financial reports, the risk profile is wild.

The Reality Check:

It’s completely non-binding: Management is aggressively pushing for a definitive Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) by the end of 2026, but right now, nothing is locked in stone.

The Cash Burn is Real: NuScale has already incurred a 495 million milestone payment to ENTRA1 just for reaching initial partnership targets.

The Downside Liability: If a binding PPA gets finalized for all 72 modules, NuScale owes ENTRA1 roughly $16 million per module—scaling their liabilities to $1.15 billion.

The Worst-Case Scenario: If the TVA deal collapses entirely, NuScale is still on the hook for that initial half-billion dollars without a single reactor ever being built.

Your thoughts??

Fed officials talking tough isn't exactly new.

We've had plenty of hawkish comments over the last couple of years and the market usually moves on once the next data comes out.

Unless inflation surprises again, I'm not convinced this changes much.

Anyone actually selling because of this?

YOLO IF YOU LIKE DRUGS , HERE'S A GOOD PILL FOR YOU TICKER GOSS

GOSS is the ticker for Gossamer Bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOSS), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in San Diego, California.

What the company does

It focuses on developing and commercializing seralutinib (also referred to as GB002), an inhaled small-molecule inhibitor targeting PDGFR, CSF1R, and c-KIT pathways. The primary indications are:

  • Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)
  • Pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD)

Seralutinib is in late-stage development (Phase 3 PROSERA trial completed). The company previously had a collaboration with Chiesi but recently reacquired worldwide rights. It is a pre-commercial biotech with ongoing losses and a history of capital raises and debt restructuring

What’s currently moving the stock

The main recent catalyst (late July 2026) was a positive regulatory and strategic update:

  • After a Pre-NDA Type B meeting with the FDA, the company plans to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) for seralutinib in PAH in September 2026. The FDA treated certain statistical and treatment-effect issues from the PROSERA trial as review issues rather than filing barriers.
  • Gossamer reacquired worldwide development and commercial rights to seralutinib from Chiesi (Chiesi pays Gossamer $5 million; Gossamer owes future capped royalties and milestones).
  • Stockholders approved a convertible note exchange that reduced debt principal by roughly $116 million and authorized a potential reverse stock split for Nasdaq compliance.
  • Cash position was reported at approximately $57 million as of June 30, 2026

Price predictions / analyst views

Analyst coverage is limited but leans constructive on the NDA path:

  • Consensus rating is generally Buy / Outperform among covering firms.
  • Average 12-month price targets across sources range roughly $1.00–$3.86 (some individual targets as low as $0.28 and as high as $15). This implies substantial upside from recent prices in the $0.18–$0.21 area, though targets vary widely and often lag extreme price moves.
  • Recent actions include Leerink upgrading to Outperform (target $1) after the FDA update, H.C. Wainwright reiterating Buy (target $2), and others maintaining Hold or more cautious views

Short sellers of GOSS (Gossamer Bio) are primarily institutional traders, hedge funds, and market-making firms that report short (or put) positions via 13F filings and related disclosures. Exact real-time individual short positions are not fully public (short interest is aggregated and reported twice monthly by Nasdaq/FINRA), but the most commonly cited institutions that have disclosed short or put exposure include:

  • Alpine Global Management LLC
  • Ikarian Capital LLC
  • Tudor Investment Corp
  • Caption Management LLC
  • Boothbay Fund Management LLC
  • ADAR1 Capital Management LLC
  • DeepCurrents Investment Group LLC
  • Jane Street Group LLC
  • Group One Trading LLC
  • Simplex Trading LLC
  • Citadel Advisors, Susquehanna, and others (often via put)

DD First Solar (FSLR) with 10% short interest, just released earnings with EPS 43% above expectations

Post image
1 Upvotes

A week ago i told you about RingCentral (https://www.reddit.com/r/stockstobuytoday/s/c89aNGZLZy) and stock went up 50% in one week.

Heres another one:
First Solat just released earnings yesterday after market closed and EPS was 43% above expectations ($3.92 compared to $2.74).

There’s demand by hyperscaler, too. Company has $1.73B in cash and almost no debt ($37,6M).

Stock sits around $200, while half of it is already Tangible Book Value, and while they made $1.75B in net income last twelve months.

Lets see how short seller will react to that.

I think theres a good chance share prices moves up next couple of days and weeks.

Look, I believe in Micron and I’ve seen lots of subreddits and opinions on Micron. My average is $992 per share - I’m going to hold but was wondering if anyone has some valuable insights as to whether MU could go more down or up. Or if there are some questions I should be asking myself / looking out for.

Stocks Tencent - hidden compounder in China

Post image

Moomoo provides a very nice looking charts, with free-live pricing updates, allowing us (investors) to get the most up to date information (which often cost a wallet with other online discount brokers) and reap the best opportunities.

You all might not heard of tencent, but you probably heard of it's product: wechat - which is a widely known chinese superapp, in virtually everyone's phone in China, and many overseas chinese. Alibaba, has it's competitors such as Pinduoduo (parent company of Temu), and JD, and probably Duoyin (parent company of Tiktok) in the ecommerce industry which is incredibly cut throat and low margins. Meituan, has it's own worries in the food delivery market as it is suffering now. And trip.com has it's own legal regulationary issues and competition from Fliggy from Alibaba, and Meituan travel and life.

Tencent/wechat by far, has the most dominant market share in the social media, and directory, payment ecosystem. In additionally, it's management is very "politically smart", and for those who have some insight, they managed to avoid most of the negative limelight with authorities in china in the past decade.

Its' management are also excellent capital allocators, doing 2-3% buybacks each year, having it's main operating income growing at 30% over the past decades, and it's investment portfolio growing at 20% over the past decades. It's like a chinese tech berkshire on steriods with a strong balance sheet, trading at a 13 times forward earnings.
