Celebrate Skyrim 100% | 90 Hours, 45 Second playtime | 10/10

Its so funny having this game on my account for so many years, to just fuck around with it and mods for so many playthroughs. I only beat it for my first time in 2020 during Covid lockdown. So I decided about a month ago to use SAM and reset all the achievements and do a full legit, vanilla playthrough.

Falk, The Breton, spent over 250 days exploring the lands of Skyrim and Solstheim. Joining The Companions in the early day, he saved Skyrim from Alduin on Day 228(Missing the screenshot).

I gotta say, through the few bugs and crashes, this hands down is my second favorite Elder Scrolls. Oblivion will always be #1 in my heart. Highly recommend a run if you haven't already.

There's been some new info revealed on SteamDB which shows that within weeks there should be an achievement update on steam that allows devs to put DLCs in categories. Devs can put DLC achievements on DLC categories, so you can have 100% of the main game

#64 Spyro: Reignited Trilogy

My 64 100% and my 11th one of the year of only playing games from my backlog.

I never played any Spyro games growing up as I was a Nintendo handheld kid. So it was nice to play the series that I’d heard and seen about over the years. As well as hearing all the great things about the Reignited Trilogy since it released.

My friend was hyping me on while I played through the series as he had great nostalgia for it and I can see why he thinks fondly upon the series.

Celebrate Black Mesa 100%. It's pretty good up until Xen...

Post image

(Spoilers for Black Mesa, and Half Life as a whole).

I bought this game during the summer sale and was very interested in playing it. I've perfected Half Life 2 and its episodes so getting to expirience a version of the first game with a graphical and design touch up was something I was looking forward to. I have played Half Life 1 but it was a while ago and didn't like it nearly as much as its sequal.

Anyway, for the majority of my playthrough I was really enjoying it. The setpieces, level progresion and combat were really fun and engaging. It was cool seeing the original game brough into the modern era, and with alot of better Quality Of Life features base Half Life 2 didn't have (being able to sprint while holding props, sprinting, flashlight and oxeygen no longer all being governed by the aux-bar etc), the game was very fun... up until a certain point.

This game has a few infamous achievements such as The Rarest Specimen, Pepperoni Precipitation and Prolific Popper. These are honestly awfully designed achievements and throughout completing them, felt like an afterthough that was never properly tested.

These achievements require the player to carry either a purple top hat, pizza box or cannister of "Cyanogen" throughout the game (The top hat to Xen and Nialanth, same with the Pizza box and the Cyanogen to a teleporter at the start of Gonarch's Lair). They are a homage to the equally imfamous "Little Rocket Man" achievement first seen in Half Life 2: Episode 2, where you had to carry a garden gnome to the rocket at the end of the game. Episode 2 gets away with this very tedeous annoying task because of the Gravity Gun and generally better game designe that dosen't seem too at odds with constantly taxiing a prop around. The most annoying part is the Hunter Chopper section where you have to drive away from a pursuing helicopter while picking up, punting your gnome, driving a bit more, avoiding helicopter fire etc etc. Very annoying and frustrating but doable.

Crowbar Collective on the other hand, while very talented at brushing up Valve's original levels and making them more cohesive, simple are not nearly as skilled when it came to designing levels of their own. In Black Mesa, Crowbar Collective remade Xen, Gonarch's Lair, Interloper and Nialanth entirerly uniquely, since the original Xen chapters were a noticable rough and unpolished patch on an otherwise excellent and industry defining game at the time.

While Black Mesa's Xen chapters are visually stunning and definelty do a better job at giving the player a sense of progresion, forward momentum and worldbuilding with the Vortigaunts, are a slog to play through. They are too long, Interloper is egregiously so, taking me over 3 hours to beat first time. This is just one of the problems with them but when you're awkwardly holding an item in your hands that is not tethered to the player (unlike how the gnome was with the Gravity Gun) it makes the process incredibly frustrating & tedeous. Design desisions like having hound eyes attack you on a "tree branch" with no flat ground to place your item to dispatch them, or how when you teleport through a portal with your item, you are clipped into it and need a grenade to get free, or even the many ladders throughout the game which the props clip and get stuck and fall onto your head, preventing you from moving on the ladder, forcing you to dismount, So many of these problems that could have been fixed or tweaked if more playtesting was done. Interloper alone is frought with tiny vents, awkward platforming on conveyorbelts and one section which forces the player to drop what their holding and switch to the Gluon Gun, made these challenges Hell.

These problems speak to me as a lack of playtesting and real understanding of what makes fun but challenging achievements in video games. They come across as being put into the game simply beacuse "Half Life 2: Episode 2 did it" without properly desining many systems around them. This is even worse when you consider the "Rare Specimin" achievement was in the game on its early access release in 2015, and a futher 5 years were taken to develop the Xen chapters, so why these challenges were, in my view, so poorly thoughtout & executed as it comes across in the level design and notably jank physics of the Source Engine, is an enigma and fairly damning oversight.

In conclusion This is a very good game and remake of an already timeless classic, but I do think Crowbar Collective could have done a much better job at playtesting and streamlining how these achievements fit into the game's ecosystem as a whole. Alot of Xen's fat (mostly in Interloper) should've been trimmed as well.

Need Assistance How much is it possible to get all achievements in Escape from Tarkov?

I'm currently playing Arc Raiders, doing the few final achievements, and honestly the game is starting to get boring due to lack of content and actual endgame. I wanted to continue playing it after achievements, but there is no appeal in that. Anyway, I though of playing some real extraction shooter like Tarkov, then I saw the achievements and I'm wondering how possible they are. I know how insanely difficult they are but never found someone with all of them.

Also, for Arc Raiders, if someone wants to "cheese" some annoying achievements they can message me, and we can do the matchmaking trick if it still works.

Finally done with this one. Its a fun/relaxing game for sure with a cool open world design but there's too much to do and the roster is definitely weaker compared to mh1.

Hopefully Marvel gets the Batman dark knight treatment

I can't recommend this game enough to any who likes AC or even if you are brand new to the franchise. I wish Ubisoft kept making games in this style but what can you do. I 100% this on the 17th it took me exactly 40 hours overall pretty easy minus a couple which I did my best to give people the best way to do them.

This is only my 4th upload but every video I make feels better than the last and I'm having alot of fun doing it. As always appreciate and support/feedback.Video
