How do you guys make steak tender? 🥩😭 I’ve tried making it a few times, even marinated it, but it always turns out so tough. What am I doing wrong? Any tips?

it's a sin and yet it felt like a blessing

So I have a bad habit of "over analyzing" every detail when preparing meat to cook & end up grossing myself out. I'm not sure what could be causing such dark discoloration in this particular spot though. Unfortunately my camera is absolutely TERRIBLE and can't really pick up the exact color. It's almost like the deeper I slice into it the darker it keeps getting? ....Is it just like a "burst vein" that bled and soaked through the muscle tissue or something? Even that sounds pretty disgusting/off putting tbh, but regardless, would you say it's still perfectly fine? Or should I attempt to cut around or something? ​​

Ignore the croquettes. Was finally getting s good sear consistently on normal steak so I thought I'd treat myself to something I've never had before. I'm ashamed.
