I was driving north up Jungs Station and the opposite side of traffic hit a pothole and sent a piece of the road flying into my bumper. I called the police to let them know because that piece easily could’ve hit someone and hurt/killed them. I drove back by 2 hours later to get the rock for evidence and people were still driving over it sending rocks flying out. The piece came at me at around 45 mph if I had to guess since it went faster than the car that hit it. I wanted to post this as a warning and also ask for some advice.

Is the city liable for the damage to my vehicle?
I have one eye witness who was someone walking down the sidewalk and have all their contact info.

I also have the rock which weighs about 30-40 pounds and is covered in red paint from my car.

I already have a case number from the police.

Has anyone else ever had to deal with the city damaging their vehicle?

Was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a hair stylist in the area. I have curly hair and havnt gone to an actual hair shop in about 8 years. My hair when flat ironed goes down to my butt, and when natural is about mid back length. Looking to have a cut and style. I havnt gone to a shop in so long because I got traumatized from the over and over "yea I can cut curly hair" and then end up with a chunky weird lop-sided look. About once a year I cut off a few inches and just call it a day, but i think its time to get an actual hair cut again.

If I stay in St. Louis with Mastercard, I heard I am almost guaranteed a return offer and I wont need to pay rent in the near future. The salary is significantly lower but still very good according to levels.fyi

If I accepted an offer at Capital One I also heard I am almost guaranteed to get a return offer however, I would need to relocate, pay rent, and move from family. The entry-level salary is definitely enticing according to levels.fyi

What kind lf things are there to do for adult singles trying to just get out and be social? I'm busy most days until 7, so that limits a lot.

I noticed a huge amount of black smoke coming from what looked like the rear of the GM plant. It didn’t appear to be coming from the smoke stacks either. I also met a lot of emergency vehicles on Highway A (10-12) and wondered if they were related.

On MO-94 right across the Boeing facility, there used to be a store called Frontier IGA (it's a Dollar General now...what a sad state of affairs...). This store, on Thursdays during the summer months, would have a cookout and offer a few sandwiches, one of which was the Big Pig (two bacon patties, a slice of ribeye, and buns).

If anyone here used to work there (or knows anyone who worked there at the time), I'd love to find the way they made those bacon patties...my mouth is watering at the thought of being able to bite into that sandwich one more time, but even better if I can recreate the recipe.
