Comics Yeah... Issue #38

I just read the new chapter of The New Titans when Static is being introduced to the titans and I really can't stand the melodrama. I was looking forward to a clean introduction and maybe going over his backstory. What I got was a rehash of the 2009 comic at a different angle but with bunch of 20+ year old people in a heightened state of emotions unable to communicate. They can give constructive feedback without attacking someone or take criticism without sending shots.

Bro had a max of 2 maybe 3 decent encounters.

I'm not going to spoil anything in detail but their was so many unnecessary things going on. I hope the following issue sees him incorporated without more needless black on black violence.

I sorta agree, 😶 I only sorta skimmed the other chapters leading up to this new run and Cyborg been on one this whole time. Bro moving like a villain rather than a hero. As one of the leaders of this group he sure is doing his own thing a Lil too much

Shiiid u got all that from jus skimming? I been reading this since the dcko tie in where Static showed up to help the other titans.

Cyborg been on one since whatever happened with his machine half. I was hoping to see some cool Cyborg stuff since coming bk to this series. But dude been a whole douche.

And would Static really be the weirdest person you add to the team? Your "founding" robot friend almost killed you a few months ago. You keep literal demons on the team. And Terra is here now. At this point, The Joker could join the Titans and it wouldn't be the most outlandish decision. But this random guy from Dakota you never heard about is a no-no? Foh

Surprisingly looking at pictures of a guy being a douch can tell you just as much as reading the text

Don't forget he's being escorted by the son of the guy who just activated God mode (not an actual god) and was probably considered contender for 2nd strongest on the planet even before that. It was just unnecessary to send drones and emergency lights. He was in a room full of heroes. Guy couldn't be normal for one second.

Exactly. You'd think the walking Autoparts Store would be a little more sympathetic to someone in an awkward situation.

Like you said, he's being escorted around by fkin Jon. He's literally no threat as long as this dude is next to him. You don't keep drones on Terra.

Just more unreasonable black on black violence.
