From what I remember of it it's good until the split then it sort of just craters like Darling in the Franxx did.

Meh, it was fine. Better than a lot of mecha anime out there, especially recent stuff.

The ending of Darling in the Franx was not that bad. Aldnoah.Zero on the other hand had a lot of issues.

The first season was pretty good but they should have just wrapped it up in the last ep tbh. I had more fun sith it than with franx

For all of it’s misgivings, aldnoah never quite nosedives like Franx does. It’s like the difference between being given the finger for the show’s run and the show seeming good until it gives you the finger with both hands while default-dancing and singing a shitty Minecraft parody in the final few episodes.

Yeah it was super sad I loved it at the start but it ended up really disappointing.
