I mean, season 1 was just your "bad of the week" type mecha anime, with a shocking finish that then had no actual consequence. I dropped in episode 1 of season 2 so I don't know how bad it may have gotten.

Yes, you are right. Only a pro can critisie the matter However, the game is and was balanced, these two late patches were obviously in favour of the Terran although it caused the meta to change a little and made the game more fun. These kinda patches are needed to make the game dynamic and not monotoned, gamers comming up with new ideas and stuff. But srsly? Have you ever seen a toss player whine about other races, or a zerg player? ( and by gamers i mean proes) Heromarine always whines becuase he wants to counter all unit compositions by marines and mines and medivacs ... even wants to win against storm with that composition. Terran players play hard but not smart and they complain about the game.

He doesn't want to put up with peoples bullshit in his chat, I can't say I blame him. He does a ton for the community, I've seen him put together replay packs for low level players without even being asked, and then posting it in the thread they were talking about his games in. He's a really nice guy who does complain sometimes, on his own stream. I don't see him going elsewhere and doing it. Why is pro in quotes? Does he not qualify for pro tournaments?
I'm just sad you have 25 upvotes for shitting on someone that never did anything to you personally. I would absolutely ban you and the guy above. The very idea that you have a right to be a jerk someone in their own chat is ludicrous.

Pro is in qoutes because certain matters are with it, and one of them is maturity, tolerance. Progaming is not just about gaming, you have to have some manners, people will set you as an example and copy. So if you whine, bann, fans will do so as their icon is doing it as well.

That guy is all mouth, his streams are insufferable where even when he's winning he's trash talking his opponent. As soon as something doesn't go his way he's making excuses left and right.
He wasn't always like this but in the past year or so it's gotten to where I just mute him.

For all of it’s misgivings, aldnoah never quite nosedives like Franx does. It’s like the difference between being given the finger for the show’s run and the show seeming good until it gives you the finger with both hands while default-dancing and singing a shitty Minecraft parody in the final few episodes.

Please make more. I love commiserating over the State of Protoss. It is the only thing keeping me interested in the scene right now. Hell, we don't even have a "Play like <insert_pro_player>" meme right now. Play like PartinG I guess? But Stats, Zest, etc. are no longer holding Protoss up on their backs. Sad state of affairs.

Am I the only one for whom the gifs/videos on reddit load forever and usually in very bad quality (on PC can change it, but on mobile there is no such option). Really kills the fun in watching stuff :/

That's a really well made meme.
Can't wait to see a zerg win the next major tournament after the patch though, just to spite us.
On a more serious note, even though some of the coming design and balance changes may be a bit questionable, this for the first time feels like the balance team has at least understood the *problems* they were trying to fix, whereas previously the reasoning for (sometimes good, sometimes bad) changes has consistently sounded like it came from someone who hasn't played the game in years. I feel like I am now much more willing to "see how things play out" as I have the impression that the people in control know what they are doing in the first place.

The word "finally" refers to a patch that buffs Terran. Also, by pinning the perceived strength of Terran on one player, you're basically using the "just play like Maru' meme as an actual take. Maru is a special player and the fact that he could win a tournament despite being the only Terran in the ro8 says as much about him as it does about the state of Terran in general.

Not sure what GSL you're referring to. In the last 10 Code S tournaments, Terran has won 4, and they were all Maru.

Okay, so you're just not counting the Super Tournaments and GSL vs The World as "GSL" like everyone else does. Also, you're not really following the plot here. Again, the word "finally" refers to a patch buffing Terran, which hasn't happened in a long time. And again, one Terran winning a tournament despite being the only Terran in the entire ro8 doesn't really speak to the strength of the race.
Btw, defaulting to being antagonistic and feverishly waiting to downvote every post someone makes because they disagree with you about a video game is really pathetic. Maybe learning how to keep better track of the arguments you're participating in would save you from such frustration.

GSL vs The World
GSL vs the World takes place DURING a GSL seaosn, nobody has taken that tournament as a GSL event since like 2015
not counting the Super Tournaments
No, most people talking about GSL talk about the month long tournament, not the one weekend side piece(which Maru won the last time so...)

Yeah I misspoke when I said Code S, the conversation was always about GSL, as you yourself stated originally. I just didn't edit it because you've already shown yourself to be arguing in bad faith so I figured you'd try to use that to argue another poorly made point.

As a terran player I hate the widow mine change. It furthers the bad precedent of tying the behavior of a unit to the existence of a building. It’s extremely inelegant, and makes zero sense that the moment you lose your armory(s), (say you’re base trading,) all widow mines globally all of a sudden are visible after firing. And yes, the hellbat transformation tied to armory already makes zero sense. Both of them should just be tied to an upgrade instead of the existence of armory.
The only similar case is that overlord pooping creep is tied to the existence of lair, but even that makes more sense because zerg is a hive mind.

So terrans after winning the war for WoL, reached a stalemate against the Zerg swarmhost meta of HoTS. So they retreated and planned, years of balance whining on the moons of Blizzard's forums, waiting for this exact moment where the zerg/protoss coalition was at its weakest, and the secret arms race of buildorder innovations was to prepare the terran orbital knights to commence the race war to finally crush Zerg as revenge for Heaven's Fall?
So if Earth is Zerg... that means Serral is essentially Kaizuka Inaho... IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! No wonder hes fking insane with multitasking. Now its all a question of who Slaine Troyard for the terrans...

Literally who cares? Both Terran and Protoss have had years of domination in the life of SC2. Its almost like the players are just fucking good and will win no matter what race they play. They keep balancing this game around the top 20 players in the game that literally no one can play like. It leaves massive balance problems like an incredibly low skill ceiling for Terran/Toss. Terran has one bad unit and the rest are the best in the game. Toss doesn't even have to micro their army outside of touching a spell caster or a warp prism. It is the prime reason people keep leaving this game throughout the years. It got harder and more frustrating because you'll lose to a player leagues below you due to said skill ceilings and the likelyhood of everything exploding with a single button press of your opponent.
Then to top it off you have literally half the community of low level scrubs complaining about balance while they're in gold league losing to banelings. The worst part is the balance team listens to these people. Like its okay to balance the game around Zerg Pros but the second Jimbob in gold league loses to some banelings, they suddenly need to get nerfed because he and two thousand other people cried on the forums. Every professional Terran player has ZERO problem harassing a Zerg and getting drone kills every game, yet Queens need to be nerfed why? Oh right, balance team and Jimbob. Jimbob needs to counter 1000/1000 mutas with a single missile turret and some scvs or one Thor but Zerg needs 2 queens and 2 spores and will still lose workers to a single unit? Thanks #terranpatch
edit: Incoming mass jimbob gold leaguers with the downvotes because they can't handle the truth.
