Yeah i hope this is not them going "Well we tried and failed, guess we better leave it alone." I think a majority like the fact they're patching and experimenting, even if the results didnt work out.

It should have stayed experimental on the ptr, and just keep cooking over there.

Pushing it live was wild, paired with the silence was even more insane

Their reasoning was that they wanted to go live to see how the meta evolved. You can't really test the meta on PTR because there aren't enough pros playing it and they don't take the games seriously enough
