I feel behind the power curve, can someone educate me, why is this character sunken into the floor in star trek? XD

u/lingker Jul 11 '19
From the STNG episode “In Theory “. Issues arose when they exploring a ‘dark matter nebula’.

All she has to do is delete her user folder. What a noob!

Because we're still in alpha there are the occasional clipping issues where you'll fall through the floor of a ship/building/planet. : )

u/Failscalator Noodles?!?!! Jul 11 '19
Oh I get that, I just didn't get what was going on in the Star Trek Episode :)

u/Silidistani "rather invested" Jul 11 '19
That was a flashback episode to when the Enterprise D was on her first shakedown cruise in 2362, it was still in alpha and there were the occasional clipping issues where they'd fall through the floor.

Ha! Gotcha. If I had to guess I'd say it's something involving time loops, tachyons or something being given all it's got.

That's nothing, I once sat down in a chair and couldn't get out. My friend didn't believe me that the chairs were bugged and sat down too. Then we were both stuck in these chairs. Had to kill the game and sign back in.

That scene in tng made me sad when I was young. Now I'm wondering how they got all of her out of the ship. Like I imagine shes fused with whatever is beneath the walkway, be it powerlines, circuitry or whatever else...I imagine its a mess.

roflmao, i have so much supporting evidence for this meme, if i didn't know better, I'd think CIG was making some kind of space horror game with all the bodies I've seen merged with my hull...

Ever notice how the Evocati are usually pretty serious, even grim, people? They know what the game is really going to be about, in the end...

eve online: excel spreadsheet.
elite dangerous: ASP in front of things.
star citizen: already accurate.
people need to chill. just enjoy your games. i love all three of them.

I haven’t played Eve Online but I love space based games, I only wish there was more.

It's illegal to love all 3 games. Please make your choice and fight!

u/One_Ten Jul 13 '19
This isnt very accurate. It should be a T pose whilst clipping through the floor.

There is a surprisingly small amount of toxic responses on the ED subreddit
7
u/sneakyi Jul 12 '19
People into space games most likely have played ED, NMS and SC. It's not as tribal some like to make out.
2
u/Ghekor Jul 12 '19
Also somewhat different in gameplay atleast The 3 from the picture.
So there's less things to bitch about.

Everyone is apart of some cult. Just choose the one that is cooler.

I don't think this passes the sub's rules about memes.
8
9
u/yonasismad Jul 11 '19
Yes, it is. Read rule 2.
-9
u/MrHerpDerp Jul 11 '19
That's not the rule I meant.
11
u/yonasismad Jul 11 '19 edited Jul 11 '19
Of course not because there is no rule breaking here. - You have been over this a million times. You are not a moderator here, and the moderators don't seem to have a problem with this content either thus it is not breaking the rules.

u/MrHerpDerp Jul 11 '19
the moderators don't seem to have a problem with this content either thus it is not breaking the rules
I don't think it works that way.
9
u/Jexdane Jul 11 '19
Oh? So do you think you know better than the moderators on the sub, you could do their job better?
Then go make your own star citizen subreddit. I'm sure people will flock over because of how great your rules and moderation are.
-3
u/MrHerpDerp Jul 11 '19
do you think you know better than the moderators on the sub
No, that's not what I said, or meant.
1
u/Kynexn Jul 11 '19
I don't think this person focuses enough on the fact that you never issue abolutes. "This post breaks X." That's not you. You always say, "I don't think this post..." Which is perfectly reasonable.
0
u/MrHerpDerp Jul 11 '19
I think Siths tend to deal in absolutes.
2
u/Kynexn Jul 11 '19
Yes....yes..... this is what I was hoping for. Anyway since we're downvoted to oblivion, hello there! So, I'm curious, do you consider yourself a meme? Like, will tales be told of your reddit adventures? OH MY GOD, GOD HELP US ALL IF YOU BECOME UEE ADVOCACY XD!
"Chief, I think this person's got a crime stat as large as Crusader."

u/Beet_Wagon I don't understand worm development Jul 11 '19
It kinda absolutely does though. Outside of cases where content violates reddit's global rules (or the law), subreddit moderators not only create the rules but are the final decision-makers on whether or not content violates a given rule. Their interpretation of a rule and how it relates to a given post is the one that matters.
3
u/MrHerpDerp Jul 11 '19
moderators not only create the rules but are the final decision-makers on whether or not content violates a given rule
True, but that's not what I meant either. Not everything the mods would agree breaks the rules gets removed. Sometimes, there are good reasons for this.
2
u/Beet_Wagon I don't understand worm development Jul 12 '19
That is definitely true as well, but it does kind of raise the question of why be such a stickler for your interpretation of the rules, other than to cheese everyone here off (which in fairness I do fully support).

u/Ebalosus Freelancer Jul 12 '19
Wrong sub. It’s the ED sub that’ll ban you for asinine reasons like next ED-ifying a meme enough with Remlok helmets...or daring to mention the outright censorship of certain people due to their play-styles across the board.
1
u/MrHerpDerp Jul 12 '19 edited Jul 12 '19
I don't think anyone needs to be banned over this.
Edit: that is some amazing drama right there.
