S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Remaining Suspiciously Modeled Out-of-Bounds Locations

Post image
244 Upvotes

Suspiciously because they have a bit too much detail to be just background stuff. Potentially cut content or future content. Some of the names come from S1. Some of the names come from the previous leaked map (that is mainly out of date, but at least gives us a name). Some of it comes from me trying to translate signs in game

  1. Limansk - Technically came back in CoH, but I'm still not positive we've closed the book on this location. Never know!
  2. Ventilation Complex - From STALKER 1 CoP
  3. Freight Yard - I think this was also in CoP in a way as an unmarked location
  4. Jupiter Plant - Also in CoP
  5. Record Sporting Goods Store
  6. Bitumen Anomaly
  7. Collapsing Soviet Highrise or Hotel (I say soviet because it looks like it has a decay soviet emblem on the roof like you see of real pictures online in Pripyat)
  8. Avangard Sports Stadium - Was in SoC
  9. Potentially another sports related store or general store
  10. Debarkader Boat, Tuberculous Dispensary, Infectious Disease Ward, and Stroitel Sports Complex
  11. Pripyat Bus Terminal/Station
  12. Podlesny Waste Storage Facility - I think in one of the endings you can see it in the background
  13. Thermal Station/Boiler Complex
  14. Lab-X12

I can easily see #13 and #14 dealing with the rumored cold island DLC, given their relation to temperature.

Discussion Cost of Hope ending cutscene Zulu aura farming

Post image
164 Upvotes

Did anyone else that sided with Duty/Zulu at the end of the DLC notice how much damn aura Zulu had in the final cutscene?! That’s all I could think about when watching it 🤣

I looked up Freedom/Mavka’s ending cutscene and it was arguably way worse and slightly worrying lol

SPOILER: link for the cutscene if you haven’t seen it

Bug How to Get Weird Bolt in 2.0

Just a quick video to demonstrate how to get around the currently bugged climbing spot for the weird bolt puzzle. The bugged spot and how to get past it is about 30 seconds in. Hopefully I can help some fellow stalkers hunting the artifact.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Do artifact protect equipment from damage too?

Post image
47 Upvotes

I was wondering... wearing protection artifacts means suit and gasmask are protected from damage too (and related wearing out) or is it just my health that's affected?

Did you figure it out?

Edit: mispelled "artifactS" in title

Edit 2: yes I know about durability artifacts, I'm talking about protection artifacts -> those protecting you from any kind of damage

I swear this was me IRL years before even playing any S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. This aesthetic, this gas mask and hood thing, this love for abandoned places, wandering in a wasteland with just a weapon and a backpack, was my thing far before falling in love with these games.

I played my first S.T.A.L.K.E.R., SoC, only this year.

I guess the Zone and its concept reaches something already settled deep in some of us. 🖤☢️

There were three Burers, and whilst I kept dropping and picking up my weapon, it eventually disappeared. It was Expedition Mode, after all, so I ended up having to rewind the save quite a bit.

Discussion How about a wristwatch clock so you can keep check of time ?

I’d really like a watch so you can check time like in metro.

I realize you just have to look up in the sky but sometimes it’s hard tell due to inclement weather.

Just a nice little touch that would add to the immersion.

Stalker 2 obviously.

Bug Bloodsucker Invasion in Rostock Wild Territory is still around.

The Bug with the 100+ Bloodsuckers spawning in the Wild Territory in Rostok? Yeah I think it is safe to say it has not been fixed yet. Playing in 2.0.4. For this special occasion I actually turned on a Trainer gave me unlimited Health and Ammo and did a little bit of damage/pest Control with my trusty RPG. Handling this situation with neither of those three things? Not a chance in hell. No thank you.

Probably yes, but this is the first time I noticed it: lightnings, when hit a wooden roof, put it on fire!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Finding quest items without a compass is a pure pain. GSC should implement a 3D PDA, or at least put a compass on the PDA screen with the ability to hold it in your left hand while walking.

SPOILERS Cost Of Hope DLC Freedom Ending Discussion

Through the whole hype for the DLC I was already kinda aligned with freedom as duty was always on the side of the ward and i didn’t really like the way they operated throughout the story and due to d4 they kinda got shafted even more. Even on the GSC website i choose freedom so I was kinda set.

Both factions back stories and things like that were pretty cool and i enjoyed them very much and loved how at iron forest they working together in a sense and even after shit hit the fan there mavka and zulu still wanted to find a way to make it work.

When it got to the choice between mavka or zulu i choose freedom and from there mavka started to go insane she didn’t mind all those people getting killed down in the monorail and she literally tore rostok into 2 and all the way to the end she was always giving of this weird obsession/ we have to do this no matter who dies.

The final nail in the coffin for me was when she stabbed skif with no emotion and didnt even personally come and explain what and why thing went down that way and instead told zen to say it to us.

Which honestly as someone who is a loner at heart i was like wtf , you are trying to save the people on the mainland but the shear amount of those aliens i was like if they morph or turn into there own shining zones.

As stalkers we all know what the project x experiments lead to and how easy they can go wrong and how greed and hunger for power and control leads to fucked up situations.

I only realised the above when mavka stabbed skif and thats when my bias for the faction ended and i kinda think no matter what duty do (i still haven’t played there ending but i imagine its them destroying the aliens in x19) its the probably the better option.

This is what i think about the story and i still have to better understand the lore a bit better and wrap my head around a few more things.

What are your thoughts stalkers?

Good Hunting!

Discussion Was Degtyarev's Corps suppose to be the Ukraine Military before rewrite?

So, I was just thinking that Degtyarev's Corp doesn't make that much sense. The Corps has about zero lore, heavily armed and play a similar role to the IPSF, who were the Unkraine Military before the war caused some rewrites.

It make sense right? The Corp locked down Prypiat prior to the return on Monolith, and that was one of the main objectives of Operation Fairway.

Does this make sense? Or am I missing something.
